This house had everything one would want. The appliances were top of the line, it had every cooking tool one could want and the pantry was open and full of great condiments that we used. We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets from the lanai where I did lots of art with our granddaughters. We rented the house because it had a Beach Club access card; that little gentle cove is the perfect place to swim and snorkel. We would come back in a heart beat.
This is a fabulous option for a 3-bedroom property in Mauna Lani. Of all the houses we have stayed in around this resort, this layout was our favourite. We loved the elevated lanai, the spacious rooms (all three) and the fact that each had an ensuite. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
We chose the property because it was close to the Ironman venue. The place is fantastic: three super comfortable bedrooms each one with its own bathroom, fantastic indoor and outdoor social areas, a garage to park our bikes, a beach club very close by, a supermarket within walking distance. Highly recommend this unit. It had everything we needed and more.
Our family enjoyed spreading out in this spacious townhome. We enjoyed grilling and eating on the lanai. Nice beach club access, too!
Such a spacious but cozy home! The bathrooms in each bedroom were super convenient. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The kitchen had everything one would need to make some amazing meals. The variety of spices was a bonus. So many vacation homes do not supply anything, but maybe salt and pepper. The knives were super sharp as well. Sitting on the lanai for my morning cup of coffee was heaven! Listening to the birds and watching the palm trees sway in the wind was a great way to wake up. The beach club was super convenient and has great lounge chairs to soak up the sun. The house manager Bennett was very pleasant and helpful! We look forward to enjoying your beautiful home again! Thanks Heidi and Rich
Four of us (60ish) just returned from a great 2 weeks (Feb. 4-18, 2022) at Rich and Heidi's town home at The Villages in Mauna Lani. Their town home is exactly as advertised. It is very well stocked with all of the conveniences, appliances, cutlery and beach type amenities. Upon entering their town home we were taken with how very spacious it is which the pictures did not accurately convey. While not an issue for us the town home is starting to show it's age in certain areas. We spent most breakfasts and some suppers enjoying the very large Lani. We stocked up at Costco and made most of our meals in the town home and we made good use of the bbq on the Lani. The Beach Club was our go to spot for great snorkelling and sun tanning and is a great plus. We would very much like to thank Rich and Heidi for granting us a late check in (11pm) and late check out (8pm) to accommodate our flight schedules and to Bennett (the property manager) for meeting us at 10:30pm to check us in! Communications and responses to our questions were very prompt. We had a great time and we would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Mauna Lani area of the Big Island.
Enjoyed our stay at this spacious and well equipped condo. Good location and well maintained grounds.
Only issues were that the ice maker in the refrigerator didn’t work and the hot water faucet handle in one of the downstairs bedrooms was stuck.
Great experience start to finish. Great property. Communication was easy. Thank you!
We stayed in unit 606 in The Villages complex at the Mauna Lani/Fairmont Orchid resorts. The unit was large and spacious and comfortably handled our (at maximum) 6 person group, including one 2nd grader and 5 adults ranging in age from 37 to 66. The owners, Richard and Heidi, communicated key information prior to our arrival and even left more information for us when we arrived. The unit looked as advertised. There were plenty of kitchen items (except for a meat thermometer, which we purchased and donated to the unit), towels, linens, extra blankets and pillows etc. When we arrived the on location property manager was not familiar with how to set the ice maker on, how the dishwasher worked and forgot to turn back on the hot water. I worked with the owner, Richard, and got all these issues resolved right away. Access to the private beach club was easy - but we recommend getting there before 9:30 if you want to get one of provided lounge chairs. There is also a small pool and spa within walking distance as well as a well-equipped gym, for which you need to sign up (but same day times were almost always available). Other nice beaches were just a short drive away, for which you will need beach chairs and an umbrella. The house only had one workable beach chair, so we purchased two more (and donated them to the house). When we left, the property manager said he could have provided more if we had asked him (but that didn't do us any good because he should have told us on day 1). There is also a good beach umbrella and boogie board and snorkeling gear for about 4 people. We stayed for a long time - 7 weeks - so probably cooked more than most guests would - and everything worked fine. The appliances are about 20+ years old, but worked OK. The furniture was quite comfortable, and the property is very tastefully decorated. The beds all got 4 stars from our family. The Big Island was quite crowded when we were there and restaurant reservations were hard to get so I recommend you make your reservations about 30 days out from when you expect to eat. Part of that is due to Hawaii Covid rules and the fact that many restaurants either did not reopen or were only open to resort guests. We felt we got great value for our money and can't recommend the owners Richard and Heidi enough for their thoughtfulness and hospitality.
