My wife and I visited Adirondack View Lodge for a long-weekend getaway with our seven children, ranging in age from 8 to 22. The house was set in a mostly wooded setting, with a large fenced-in area that was convenient for our dogs. There is a wonderful view of the mountains from the deck, and while there are neighbors fairly close by, the trees helped give a sense of privacy. The screened porch was perfect for a morning cup of coffee while listening to the birds. It should be noted that the house is situated on a dirt road, so in snowy or wet weather might be muddy and difficult for some vehicles. The house was terrific, the sofa bed and foam mattress meant that only 2 of the younger kids had to share one of the queen beds, while everyone else got beds of their own, which were on the firm side, but quite comfortable.Overall, the house was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped for our needs. Everyone enjoyed the air-hockey table, and we appreciated having options for seating areas. We used the large dining room table for puzzles and games, and enjoyed the large-screen TV in the basement for movie-watching. We also had fun with the basketball hoop in the driveway, and were thankful for the functional laundry room.We really had a wonderful few days here and found it ideal for spreading out and relaxing.
