Stayed Oct 22, 2020It was a nice comfortable stay in this large well preserved home. Susan went out of her way to add some special homey touches which we appreciated. We would stay there again.

Stayed Apr 20, 2018This place was very quaint, comfortable and enjoyable but the best part was the warm welcome by the hostess - she really went out of her way to make us comfortable and so we could thoroughly enjoy our stay. Would definitely recommend her highly to anyone!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in this lovely historic home. Susan was a wonderful host. Met me at the house and gave a tour and instructions on how to heat the delicious goodies she left for us! Overall, great experience!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My girlfriends and I stayed at this house for the weekend, and it was amazing! The breakfast items that she left were delicious, and she thought of everything! That front porch was to die for....we spent our evenings out there. Perfect getaway home.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We live in North Carolina and our brother-in-law is from Brenham and was to be inductded into his High School Sports Hall of Fame, so 8 members of the family came into town for the event. Instead of getting 2 rooms at a local motel, we decided to try VRBO (our first time). We selected Holle House and 6 of us stayed here (B-I-L and wife stayed with his parents). Susan was a wonderful host. She said that owning a B&B was her lifelong dream and it showed by her hospitality and interest in making sure we had what we needed. There was an abudnance of breakfast items, fruit, juice, coffee, etc that started each of our 3 days out on a good note. The last night we had childhood friends come to town to vist before we left. Having the living room was a real bonus. If we make it back to Brenham, we will stay with Susan again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Overall, it was a very relaxing stay. The neighborhood is very quiet. The house was well stocked and the owner was very friendly. The house was very clean and the owner left plenty of breakfast and snack items. We didn't have to purchase breakfast our entire stay. We plan on returning with our son since the house is kid friendly.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Crew came in town to paint decorative treatments in a new construction home. It was so nice to come to this comfortable home at the end of a very long work day! The owner went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and also provided us breakfast goodies & fruit in the mornings! I would not hesitate to return.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I stayed at the Holle House for a weekend trip with my 3 sisters & mother. Brenham was a nice central spot for the five of us to meet. We do this 3 times a year, and look for a place where we can sleep comfortably, have at least two bathrooms (we are 5 women!), watch movies together, and cook dinners & breakfasts. We ended up only using two of the bedrooms (the owner graciously set up the dining room as a 3rd bedroom, with two comfortable looking rollaway twin beds) mother was in the queen bedroom room, and the four sisters shared the two full size beds. It was like being kids again, staying up talking and laughing...just perfect. Beds were VERY comfortable. Even though only one bathroom with a shower, it was no problem for us to share that...having a additional powder room was what was important ;-). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our dinners, and the large kitchen was very homey. We enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table playing cards, too. The flat screen tv in the sitting room allowed us to watch our movies. The house was extremely clean. Susan, the owner called a few days before arrival to discuss choices for breakfast that she so thoughtfully provided. We actually couldn't even eat it all! There were also candy dishes full of wrapped chocolates all over the house, and thick fluffy robes left on the beds. Shampoos & soaps, and paper products were also provided. There were more than enough parking for our five cars. The house was just like the pictures showed. There were even fresh flowers! It was evident that the owner enjoys hosting guests, and that she has gone to great effort to prepare this historical house for guests. As a side note, Brenham was a great choice for us. Our two lunches out, were nice, walking around for several hours downtown, was exactly what we like to do... cute shops, antique stores, etc. and a great grocery store (a large HEB) just a few minutes from the house. Perfect weekend!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969As one may asume by my title I travel a lot for pleasure but even more for a living. I am an over the road truck driver and a ships owner/captain who really enjoys extreme quaintness in a getaway. Keep it simple, lavish at points, quite and peaceful at times, and mostly a relaxing comfortable expierence and you have me won as life long customer. On my voyage to visit to relatives in the Brenham area I decided to stay at Holly House by way of reading up on whats new to Brenham. My initial thought was I might be paying a bit more than a motel or hotel abd would I get my value and enjoyment out of the stay? Well, lets just say... I was more than impressed! The open rooms and large entertainment area in the living room were quite a pkeasure to entertain my family and guest during my vacation stay at this part of my trip. The house topped some of the 5 star resorts where I have stayed in times past and the host Susan was a genuine pleasure to associate any needs that I had during my venture. Clean, neat, and RELAXING would sum up my stay, and value wise.... I will be back! It was a definite Value winner when I sat on the huge porch and had coffee with mother nature.?
