Stayed Apr 16, 2025We were a group of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. At no time did we feel cramped at this property. The Master Bedroom was spacious enough to accommodate 2 Pack-n-Play cribs and several large suitcases with plenty of room remaining to move around comfortably. There were 2 cozy rocking chairs on the private balcony overlooking the canal and a double sink in the bathroom. The other 2 second floor bedrooms were smaller, but adequate. Bathrooms were clean, new, all had showers and 2 had tubs. Towels were bright white as were the sinks and tubs. The stairs and upstairs were carpeted. There were a few small stains but nothing unsightly. The downstairs had easy to clean engineered flooring. Kitchen, living and dining rooms had an open layout with room at the table for 6. There were 2 beautiful leather, reclining sofas. The cupboards had all the pots, pans, and cooking/eating supplies anyone would need. There was even a Cuisinart mixer! High quality appliances were a joy to use - dishwasher, refrigerator, washer, dryer. And who wouldn't mind vacuuming with a Dyson? The back deck was very large with a large table and enough chairs/loungers to seat 15-20 people easily The a/c was great. Water pressure excellent. I could go on and on. Dockside is a beautiful, comfortable , clean home. i would definitely return again.

Stayed Apr 3, 2025Way back in the 80's and 90's I grew up spending spring break with my grandparent's at Nettles Island and had an amazing time. This year I thought it would be fun to take my family there for our spring break and I'm so glad I did! For starters, the home is gorgeous! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, and I swear the appliances are brand new! There is plenty of room for relaxing and playing games, and the three bedrooms upstairs are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The master bedroom has a balcony so each morning we were able to sit outside and enjoy our coffee while watching the matinee and birds. The reason we booked this house was the private deck and dock, where my son, who doesn't love the beach, was able to fish every day. There is plenty of outdoor sitting as well. I remembered from growing up that we would want a golf cart, and the host gave us a name that was extremely affordable and dropped the cart off and picked it up for us! It's such a fun way to get to the beach each day, and just cruise around the island. My boys also loved playing pool each night at the rec center. If you are on the fence about booking this home, I would highly recommend booking it, unless it's the week that I want to come back :-)

Stayed Mar 4, 2025The place is 5 stars with a few exceptions.Great kitchen with newer appliances. Big deck with great views of the water. (Although we had to keep a close eye on the kids; a single rope provided little protection).Lots of space; large bedrooms. (Although the beds were saggy/over due to be replaced.)The owner was very responsive to our concerns and suggestions!
