Great quaint winter fun spot for the entire family! Beautiful new & comfortable home with an open layout. Fully stocked kitchen with utensils & serving wear. The beds were so very comfortable! Everyone had a restful night sleep, which is why we extended our stay & are all looking into ordering mattresses as these. Had a couple of hiccups in the home, but Emily was quick to respond with issues and requests. Just a couple of things that could use improvement. Housekeeping. Hair in the showers, soap build up on shower door & neglected toilets. We kept finding Qtips everywhere, in bazaar areas too. Home needed airing out from previous visitors. Also, availability in cleaning supplies & toilet paper throughout the stay would’ve been nice. Two rolls of TP for each bathroom lasted us about 2.5 days. Ran out of trash compactor garbage bags & dish washer soap after a couple of days.
Love this place so much I want rent it short term Perfect location
We had an amazing experience in this mountain home. It's beautifully designed and decorated, is very spacious, clean and has breathtaking views. The kitchen was well stocked with all the right appliances and dinnerware. Having the shoe drying racks was so convenient after coming back from snow days! It's also very close to downtown of Mount Shasta city and the Shasta Ski Park, which makes the location very convenient. Emily was very responsive in her communications with us, replying right away to our messages. Having the pool and ping pong table kept the kids occupied for hours on end without the screen time! I was also impressed by the thoughtful child-proofing of the house. Our kids are a little older now but I wish we could have stayed in a house like this when they were little, it would make parents of younger kids feel really safe with all the cabinet and door locks as well as the retractable staircase gates. We can't wait to come back again and are telling all our friends about this house!
My family and I (5 adults and 1 infant) spent a wonderful week in this beautiful house. Emily was easy to reach and provided us with all the necessary information to make our arrival trouble free. When we arrived the house was very clean and everything was in perfect working order. The house is quite spacious, located in a very quiet neighborhood and includes all the essential cooking tools and appliances. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and used it often as it snowed the entire week we were there. There was plenty of wood available which was convenient. The location was perfect for our outdoor needs. There is a trailhead within walking distance (1/4 mile) which gives you access to several trails up to 10 miles long. We trekked 5 miles in the snow covered trails and forest, well worth it. We chose this location as we planned a fly fishing trip. There are several rivers within an hour drive including the McCloud, Sacramento, Klamath and Pitt. The east portion of the Trinity is a 2 hour drive. There is a small market and great coffee (and hamburgers) shop in town (Yaks) ~ 1.5 miles away. The pictures on VRBO reflect very well the house and the scenery, the views of Mt Shasta are amazing. Truly a great home and a wonderful area to vacation.
