Luxury Mosaic Masterpiece: Santa Fe Hobbit House centrally located to SF Plaza.

WOW! The Hobbit House is truly a work of art. The beds were comfortable, the water feature was serene, the gardens were spectacular, and the tile work was a masterpiece to behold. It was conveniently located within walking distances to bakeries and Trader Joe’s. Cooling units in each room allowed each guest to customize their sleep environment. Wonderful hosts! Would definitely book this again.

The house is more beautiful and comfortable than the pictures show. What stood out to me was how well appointed the place was. Everything you need for every day life was there, of high quality and working. Highly recommend.

This property is absolutely gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And that includes the outside patio area with the waterfall feature. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings relaxing after very busy days. Be sure to read the tips, esp. for info on air/heating to understand how to set the temps you want. We also appreciated the info and brochures on nearby sites, restaurants and activities. If we plan anymore trips to Sante Fe we will definitely plan to stay here again.

Great house - so cute but we were not allowed to use the TV? This was weird, but we ended up finding a way to make do for our group, who came here for rest, relaxation and to learn together.

Beautiful property, even in the winter! We love how unique this home was. Every nook and cranny has a custom built piece of furniture or unique tile work. The location was great as it was a 4 minute drive to the plaza. The bed was very comfortable (a MUST for us) and the kitchen was well appointed. I was pleasantly surprised that after I realized upon waking in the morning that I had forgotten cream for my coffee, there was a new half & half in the refrigerator waiting for us! Disaster avoided! The host/owner Sheila was very responsive and pleasant. We had an absolutely superb time and will definitely be back!

The Hobbit House was exactly what we were looking for. The house was uniquely designed, very spacious, and very comfortable. The tile and woodwork were amazing. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The location was perfect for us as first time travelers to this area. Everything we wanted to do in Santa Fe was within a 10 minute drive. We were able to walk to many places and felt safe doing so.If we return to Santa Fe I would definitely book this house again.

The 10/10 reviews you see are accurate! The detail and unique design of this house had us in awe every day we were there! The hosts were more than helpful, always answered promptly and had very clear instructions of how to take care of the property. I love it didn’t smell like animals and that it had a long mirror and luggage holders. (Both rare in Vrbo’s) we would definitely stay again and recommend.

One of the most beautiful, unique, amazing properties I’ve ever stayed in. The detail in the tile and woodwork were nothing short than gorgeous. We loved the outside area in the back and the water feature. The house was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. We really appreciated the welcoming details like the bag of coffee and creamer left in the fridge for us. Awesome location for the hiking trails, but also enjoying downtown Santa Fe nearby restaurants.

What a wonderful home and experience! We have stayed in dozens of VRBOs, resorts, and hotels throughout our lives, and this was by far the nicest, most unique, clean, and welcoming space we've ever stayed in. The artistry is so incredible that we spent much of our time wondering how the artisans could create such a beautiful structure. If this home is available for your next trip to Santa Fe, you must grab it. It was a fantastic week in a magical city.

The house was amazing and the deck and gardens were incredibly beautiful. The kitchen has everything you could ever need and is a delight to cook in. The house and living spaces are very comfortable and well lit. Trader Joe's and the best French cafe I have ever been to all super close! We loved our stay here. It is a solid 10 out of 10!

This is a beautiful, well appointed home. Whimsical, fun, and comfy, which reminded us of artistic homes in Spain. Getting to and from the Plaza, is quite easy, and we were always able to park, in the municipal lot. The back patio is so relaxing and a wonderful spot to start your day. I highly recommend this home for your Santa Fe getaway.

Beautiful house, continently located, comfortable, and within walking distance of the plaza and rail yard. We had a great time and very much enjoyed coffee on the back porch listening to the water feature and watching birds and humming birds come and go. Perfect for a home base to see the area. Great kitchen and a short distance from Trader Joe’s, making a meal or snack restock a snap. Thank you again to our hosts, the house was very clean, towels luxurious ,and comfortable linens.

One word can describe this whole property. WOW! From the first time pulling into the driveway with landscaping that would rival any HGTV program to opening the front door and marveling at the unbelievable Southwest themed interior that was so clean, it really was unbelievable. The rooms had their own AC with remote controls that made comfort so enjoyable. The layout of the interior was well designed and there was convenience at every corner. This place also had extra bedding, sheets, and towels/wash rags that were not locked up as in other places that we have stayed at and even though they were not needed, we had access to these items. The bathrooms were an amazing sight to see. Amazing design and craftsmanship. But the surprise was outside the back door. A waterfall that was of magazine quality. The tranquil sound of running water filled the air and the well designed landscaping gave a view that was top of the charts. Our overall experience was definitely a 10 PLUS. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life and get away, this place is for you. We know who we will contact when we make a return trip to Santa Fe NM.

This house is an artful masterpiece. From the moment you walk in, you can feel a peacefulness in your heart and soul. We have made several visits to the Hobbitt House and all have been memorable. There is so much to do in Santa Fe and a good way to start your day is take a walk to the Rose Garden and smell the flowers, then continue your walk to Clafoutis bakery for beignets to-go that you can eat on your back patio with your coffee while you watch the hummingbirds enjoying the trumpet vine.

We particularly enjoyed the patio and the backyard. The kitchen is well designed, and we cooked several dinners that we enjoyed on the patio. The bedrooms and other facilities accommodated my family perfectly.

If a place could get 6 stars, this would be it. The home is a complete work of art, everything custom made and charming, but so totally comfortable. And the backyard is a refuge in the city — we spent as much time in it as we could. Kitchen is extremely well-stocked and ready for use. Location was very convenient to all parts of Santa Fe, with good shopping and restaurants within a short walk. We would rank this among the top places we’ve ever stayed.

The Hobbit House is a great place to stay. The house is BEAUTIFUL and the gardens in the front and back yards are gorgeous. Attracts lots of birds and bunnies. This was our 4th stay at the hobbit house and we will definitely be back....

This was the perfect place for Mother's Day with my mom and my adult daughter. We each had our own space and my mom in particular was spoiled rotten in the primary suite. She said it was the nicest place she has ever stayed and she has traveled the world!

Among the best Vrbos we've ever stayed at. Comfortable ,clean, well stocked and central enough to downtown ( 5 min. by car) . The detail in construction and design is phenomenal . The cozy and quiet back yard patio is great for relaxing after a day of exploring. We made use of the grill and had a nice dinner outside. The hosts were easy to communicate with and we would return on any future trip to Santa fe.

Had a group of 6 celebrating a 50th birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better house to stay in. Plenty of room, comfortable, lots of natural light and the outdoor setting for morning coffee or afternoon drinks beautiful! Close walk to restaurants and shopping. Loved it!

This home is a work of art! Around every rounded corner there is something else magical. The stone work, mosaics, collections of pots and pottery, just everything speaks to you! This is the best equipped VRBO rental we have ever used. And so clean! Thank you to our hosts who were always available if we needed them or had a question. I've stayed in many vacation homes all over the world and this one is at the top in terms of beauty, comfort and amenities. The place is just drop-dead gorgeous, with artisan touches everywhere, a beautiful interior design and just about everything (even little cold packs in the freezer) one might need. A true delight to live in for a few days.

The Hobbit House really is a masterpiece and one of the best--if not the best--home I've rented from VRBO. Every inch of this property--the floors, ceiling, walls, showers, kitchen, and even the furnishings--is custom and designed by some amazing craftsmen with true talent. I mean literally no surface inside the home is undecorated, and the photos do not do it justice. As an added bonus, the home is immaculately clean, very thoughtfully provisioned, perfectly organized, and extremely comfortable. Our hosts were responsive, and you can tell someone really takes pride in this property. Although it is not a large space, the whole home is utilized to its fullest and the property feels spacious. A beautiful half-moon covered patio on the back (with a gas grill) is a bonus, and the hosts even provided firewood and kindling for the interior fireplace (a thoughtful detail). This house makes for a truly unique and impressive stay in Santa Fe. Highly recommend!

I've rented several vacation homes before, and this was by far the best experience I've had where it felt like I was house-sitting someone's very nice home. The acclaimed design and architecture aside, the owner sprung for high-quality features like furniture, cookware, silverware, dishware, appliances, etc., instead of the typically inexpensive, low-quality stuff. There were many thoughtful inclusions like cooking spices/oils, condiments, coffee, tea, creamer, a sewing kit, first aid supplies, a picnic basket, ice packs, firewood, board games, a small library of books, and even distilled water for the clothing iron (and so much more)! Other rentals offer a starter kit for the most basic things, but the only thing you're responsible for is your own groceries -- which Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are within walking distance. Most importantly, the home was meticulously clean, and I appreciated that there was no carpet in the house at all. I would definitely stay at the Hobbit House again!

I can't even begin to say how beautiful and exquisite the Hobbit House is! It's an 11 on a 10 scale. Besides the beauty of it's unique design, the house has everything you could possible need, including plush robes for everyone. It's located to all sorts of attractions and particularly close to Clafoutis, a French bakery/restaurant with delicious food. The downtown square is just a short drive or walk, if you want to take in the area on your way.Our family will absolutely begin staying here when we come back each year.

The Santa Fe Hobbit House is stunningly unique and comfortable. We had a good time finding new beautiful design details the whole time we were in the house. Beds and furniture were all inviting and luxurious. We didn't use the kitchen as often as we usually might because the neighborhood had such wonderful restaurants. Our hosts were gracious and responsive. The only thing additional thing we could ask for is a written description of the history and craftspeople who developed this beautiful property.

We had a wonderful stay in Santa Fe with family and friends. The Hobbit House is wonderfully designed and appointed and in pristine condition. The location is central to the major highlights in Santa Fe. It was the perfect place for a memorable vacation. We would return in a heartbeat.

We loved this place! It’s like staying in an art gallery. The home had extremely comfortable beds, beautiful appointed decorations and furniture, amazing art work throughout…the wall paintings and shower tile work were incredible! We walked all over Santa Fe from the house. It was an amazing place-highly recommend. And I’m picky!

The property was fantastic, clean, interesting, well stocked, well located and just overall great! Will have to check it out in spring/summer when everything is blooming. Although we only stayed a few days we really enjoyed the house and will try for it again in the future.

The house was just amazing and within 5 miles of everything you could possibly want to do or eat. Every room has so much to see and admire, if you want to impress you company this is the house to do it at. You will not want to leave. It was an amazing house central to everything we wanted to do-from the balloon fiesta, Taos, the Manhattan project, Georgia O’Keefe museum and walking around Santa Fe. We can’t wait to come back.

If you are visiting Santa Fe as a tourist, this is the perfect VRBO! In fact, add an extra day to your trip just to fully appreciate and enjoy Hobbit House. The house itself is unique, very comfortable, and fun, as depicted in the VRBO photos. Four of us used the place as base camp to explore northern NM for 8 days. The house layout is perfect for up to three couples. The kitchen, dining, and living spaces are great. There is a lovely deck and back yard for summer use, and fireplace for winter coziness. It is minutes away from all of the must-do sites in Santa Fe, as well as the highways to more distant places like Taos. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are both 5 minutes. And (this is important!) there is a genuine and excellent boulangerie just at the end of the block for all of your breakfast needs. Hobbit House is special!

No problems checking in or out. The house and grounds are fantastic and are better than the pictures. We kept finding little details. The house is completely furnished with everything you could want and is very comfortable. We’ll be back.
