Stayed Jun 20, 2026We absolutely loved this property and its hosts. We have stayed many places over the years and this has surpassed the others by a long shot. The hosts were very active with communication, the property was amazing and the location was even more amazing. In the past we have ran in to issues where we didn’t have things we may have needed throughout the house (pans, dish soap, etc), absolutely not the case here. They have everything you need! We recommend this place 1000 times over and can’t wait to come back!

Stayed Jul 8, 2025This house did not disappoint! Clean, beautiful, spacious. Great spot on the lake. Stone steps down to lake a little tricky for our older family members. Kayaks provided were thoroughly enjoyed. Would stay again.

Stayed Jun 21, 2025We had a group of 15 people, 8 adults and 7 children ages 8 months to 13 for a week at Lake Nantahala. This house was well equipped and accommodated our group nicely. The lake is great for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and boating. Everyone had a great time.

Stayed Dec 28, 2024Our 1 week stay at bear lodge was wonderful. The cabin was perfectly equipped for our large group. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. the kitchen was also stocked with all the essentials. DJ was a wonderful host who communicated throughout our stay. Incredible views and comfortable home. Would recommend to anyone!

Stayed Jun 22, 2024Our stay on Lake Nantahala at DJ’s luxury cabin was very enjoyable. In addition to a very spacious home, many water “toys” accompanied the property. It was nice having a dock as our kids rented a pontoon boat for the week. We enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit, the spectacular views, and the well stocked kitchen for our large family. A memorable week was had by all!

The cabin was comfortable, very clean and had a great open living space as well as all the kitchen ware you could possibly need for a large group! We highly recommend this property for large family groups.
