Luxury House - Arenal Vocano View - Private pool - 2 km from Fortuna Downtown!

This house was in an amazing location. Very clean and amenities were exactly as stated. We had a little issue when we arrived but the host promptly resolved it. Would stay here again. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Thank you for the stay .

Poor communication by host and expensive rate for the house. Property rate was dropped after we booked and requested to match. No response from host. Arrival instructions not sent within 24 hours. Provided only after request. Host requested arrival car information and arrival time. This was provided as soon we got the rental car from the airport however security access guard did not have the information when we arrived. Laundry is available at extra cost but this information was only provided after we asked question about laundry facility at home. Also, checkout information was only provided after our request.

Property was great but kitchen utilities were lacking.

We stayed one week. I always look for properties with a feel like home. We were able to wash our clothes after activities. We rented a car and moved around . The host is very responsive if you need to contact him. A very nice view from the pool.

Juan was very responsive and did everything he could to make our stay as lovely as possible. The accommodations were top-notch and the location was maybe a hour outside of town and secure. We had our own pool and three bedrooms three bathrooms. One of the three bathrooms was outside by the pool with an outdoor shower as well.

4.5 stars! We had a great stay at this house. It was clean and updated. The pool was great for the kids. It is located in a gated community with a guard and close to downtown La Fortuna restaurants. All of our excursions were within 15-30 minutes from the house (Mistico Hanging bridges, La Fortuna waterfall, Ecoglide zip lining, Baldi hot springs, North fields coffee and chocolate tour). Arriving at the house our first night, Waze had taken us on the northern route from Liberia (not the one right by Lake Arenal) and coming from that side of town took us through a local neighborhood and over a very narrow bridge. The directions need to be more specific to go through town and come in from the other side. There is not a dishwasher, which is not a big deal, but we could not get hot water in any of the sinks (kitchen or bathroom) to wash dishes. There was plenty of hot water in the showers though! There is not a washer or dryer at this property. We would definitely stay here again! The host was responsive to questions during our stay. Highly recommend!

We stayed for 6 nights with 8 people (two families, with kids from 7-10) and we had a very comfortable stay. The pool and outdoor living space was excellent and provided plenty of fun time for the kids. Communication with the host was prompt and clear. Housekeeper came by during the middle of our stay to freshen towels and empty trash cans. Only suggestion would be to improve kitchen amenities- the knives were very dull and hard to use. Having a rental car was necessary as it is not in a very walkable area. There was a guard at the entry gate 24/7, although there were other ways one could enter the neighborhood without passing the gate. We enjoyed our stay very much! It felt super safe and comfortable.

We throughly enjoyed visiting the Arenal Volcano area using this house as our base. The pool was nice at the end of a busy day and it was close to the restaurants in town for dinner. Juan was very reachable and helpful.

We loved the house. We used as home base while we explored the La Fortuna area. We got to enjoy the beautiful pool too. Our only problem came from finding the guard house to get onto the property.

The house was clean and was as advertised. The living room couches were awful and should be replaced. The beds and linens and pillows were terrific! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed and very well laid out. The outdoor space was great. The only change I would make is the pool is actually not big enough to be a swimming pool, more like a pool for cooling off and so should be advertised as such. It worked well for our group and we were able to do the sight seeing we wanted to from this location.

We had such an amazing time at this VRBO. It is such a beautiful home with amazing view and lush flora right out your window. The host was so amazing to work with. His communication was fast and great. The can opener needed replaced and he dropped one of the next day. He was very attentive to any need. I highly recommend this location. We loved the outdoor living area and beautiful pool.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here, we felt safe at all times with the gated community with a security officer checking all visitors before entering the premises. The layout of the house was cool and our grown up kids enjoyed the pool and open area of the house. Best part is definitely the location, it is close by to the town and just a bit far enough from the town center to avoid all the noise. Stay here for a great experience in La Fortuna.

The house was great for our family of five. Everyone got their own bed. It was as advertised. The only reason why didn’t get five stars with everything was it’s a little bit out of town and the roads have no shoulders or sidewalks so we feel it was safe to walk on, particularly at night.

The house is in a very quiet gated neighborhood, which we liked. The house backs up to large trees and a river so really the only sounds we heard were from nature, which my family of 2 kids and 3 adults did not mind. There are a lot of windows in the house to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Air conditioning in the bedrooms worked great and having a private pool in which to cool off after our excursions was a huge plus for the kids and adults alike. The house is less than a 5 minute drive to town and close to excursions too so very convenient. Felt completely safe in La Fortuna. Our favorite place to eat was Travesia which was recommended by our host. WhatsApp worked best to communicate with host after check-in and he was very responsive. Our family would definitely stay here again.
