Great gathering place for families and/or weddings receptions, come relax and enjoy a little bit of paradise here in Redding, officially Palo Cedro but very close to Redding
and it rents for $395 a night with a 5 night minimum beginning in April through October
Please be aware that the months of October through April are the winter months in Redding and while the weather is beautiful the pool may not be as warm because we have solar heat and it will not keep it warm during the winter months
Also during your stay you may see the gardeners or the pool technician while you were there please do not be alarmed
We’ve stayed at this home twice, and both times were great! The backyard is amazing, and the house is perfectly spaced out between the bedrooms. It’s a quick 20 min to Bridge Bay where we slip our boat. Gail is a great host.
We love the house and we love the pool very nice.
Big house and comfortable . Easy for outside bbqs . The pool is fantastic so much fun!
We had a wonderful family vacation and loved the room and layout of the home.
Booked property for a Womens retreat/conference, the house size and layout was PERFECT for this. The ratio of bedrooms to bathrooms was exceptional when you have so many women staying together. Also the separation of the bedrooms, large living spaces, it just worked out really well. The location was really easy to get back and forth from, just far out of town enough to feel like a getaway, but close enough for ease of getting back and forth to Bethel Church between conference sessions. A few negatives, were that the hot tub was off when we arrived, tho there had been conversation with the host beforehand, requesting it be HOT when we got there, I reached out to host right away and she sent the handyman over, we had discovered the breaker was tripped by the time he got there. He was super friendly which was nice. We were trying to find. a way to light the outdoor fire pit while he was there, and asked for his help, and he let us know it wasn't usable- this was disappointing as we weren't able to use the hot tub that day, as it needed to heat up, and we were cold lol ( we ARE women lol) SO we asked him to helps turn on the inside fireplace, which he informed us weren't able to use due to the cost of propane /or gas? I told him we would be happy to cover the cost of the gas/propane- we just really wanted a warm cozy evening one way or another. It was listed on the house rules that we weren't able to use the fireplace, and I may have missed that when I was booking the property- so I take responsibility for that one.. The next morning gardeners showed up before 8 am, and were using a leaf blower on the back patio, in view of our rooms ( one guy happened to walk by a window when one of the ladies wasn't dressed- yIkes) The hot tub was warm enough to use by then, and we had hoped to soak before going to the conference- but with the landscapers there , that couldn't happen. I did msg the host right away regarding this, and she responded that she couldn't control when day he guys showed. I would like to suggest finding a way to let the gardeners know not to come on certain days/times when you know people have booked the place, especially for a Womens getaway, these are the details that will make a very big difference in quality of experience- and could be a determining factor on wether someone would feel like rebooking. Overall the ladies were very happy with the house/ stay-
After buying all our food at Redding Costco and a quick drive through the In & Out Burger, we never left the home. We spent all our time in the pool. We had a little hiccup with the power going out for a few minutes however, Gail quickly called the power company. She was always available and quick to respond.
We always enjoy our stay at your home it was relaxing, we really missed the tub and fire pit not working hopefully they will be fixed by next year when we try and rent again. Thank you
Our family had a great time at this home. There was lots of room to spread out. The pool was amazing and we felt fortunate to have it all to ourselves. The place is quiet and secluded but there was a large grocery store about 5 minutes away. Gail was very responsive with questions and check in was a breeze.
This was our second time staying at this property. It was a small group of 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 high schoolers. The house is big and we didn’t even get to use upstairs quarters. Even with that everyone had their own room. The house is very spacious. But again, it’s the outside that keeps us coming back. The pool is amazing!!! It’s solar powered so no extra fee for keeping it a little extra warm, just the way we like it! We really enjoyed our time. Gail is a great host, very responsive and accommodating. Thanks for an amazing week!
Overall we had a great time at this property. The pool was great, the rooms/beds fit our family perfectly and Gail was responsive when we asked questions. We would definitely stay here again.
It was the 2nd time we came in Gail’s place . The house is wonderful . We had some bad experiences this time . However Gail always answers to our concerns.
The house was very clean, bright and very well decorated. Loved the pictures on the walls, bright carpets and mats. Everything about this home is warm and welcoming. The backyard with its pool was the most relaxing and enjoyable place to stay during the hot summer mornings and evenings; during the day we were chilling at Shasta Lake which is about 25 minutes drive. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were very well maintained and decorated having all the necessities and plenty of towels. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed for cooking the delicious dinner. The grounds are pretty large allowing to park a few cars and even a boat! Loved the personal space with distal neighbors around. Thank you, Gail, for sharing your house with my family; we enjoyed our stay!
