Stayed Aug 16, 2025A beautiful and well equipped house in a stunning location. We had a fabulous time and would love to go back. Fabulous walks from the doorstep with plenty to explore in the local area.

Stayed Aug 19, 2017The house is beautiful - modern and light, with all the amenities you need for a good holiday. In a village with a butcher, bakery, Edeka, cafes and good restaurants, but quiet and on the path to Wendelstein. All the amenities you need in the house to cook lovely meals - nespresso machine (bring pods), good oven and hob, lots of pots and pans, cutlery and general kitchen stuff. Good sitting out area and table, lots of storage for walking/cycling equipment, sauna, quiet seating areas, great bathrooms, good beds. But most of all the - the house is just lovely - you walk in through the door and can see right through to the front of the house and the mountains - and into the living room which is bathed in light all day - it is really lovely. Claudia is easy to deal with, helpful and efficient. It is the first time we've stayed in a house without a swimming pool but our kids are 8 and 11 now and the pool in the village (5 mins walk away) is much more fun for them - quiet but big, with diving boards, a tightrope and other kids. There are numerous walks and cycle rides almost from the door - no need to get in the car once you are here and a good train service to lakes close by and into Munich. Our second time at the house - the only time we've done this and may come again!

Stayed May 6, 2017We stayed at the Mitchell house in early to mid May, 2017. We had an absolutely lovely time! The house is immaculate, spacious, very bright and sunny. It has everything a family could want and then some. The location is very convenient to take day trips throughout Bavaria and Austria. The town is small, cute and extremely friendly. Everyone was willing to help with directions, advice, etc. Claudia is a very very sweet and caring host. She was out of town but stayed in touch the entire time via email, phone and text. We highly recommend making this your next vacation spot

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our second stay at the Mitchell House was just what we were looking for. Plenty to do if you want to; a cozy place to simply relax if you don't. Once again, we felt immediately at home and enjoyed our week-long stay, despite the unseasonably warm weather. Bayerischzell might not be on everyone's radar, but we actually prefer its quaintness to nearby towns that fill up on the weekends. From the property, there's plenty to do on foot or bike, without having to pile everyone and gear in the car first. That makes it a winner in our book. Stay number three? Definitely!
