The apartment was immaculate

Lovely place. It was perfect for our girls' trip long weekend. The rooms were so spacious and tastefully decorated. It was also super clean and had everything we needed, including for our night staying in with Door-dash to binge watch a couple Netflix series. The coffee lover in our group was so appreciative of the supplies and setup. The location is fabulous for walking the Creek Park, or to dinning and shopping options. We're looking forward to making this our Christmas present to each other every year,

I usually stay at hotels located near resturants. this location is great. the place is clean and amenable for a great quiet time. thank you for offering this property.

Condo had great potential, but attention to details was lacking. Bar stools were both broken, shower curtain was moldy, kitchen amenities were lacking. For example: frying pan needs to be replaced, not enough pots, no sheet pans, only 2 wine glasses. Flatware is sparse. Trash wasn’t taken to curb for pickup- it was overflowing. Communication from management was bad. Didn’t get any questions answered. One agent said email answer person was on vacation and another said they were having technical problems.

We never received information about accessing the property, so on our drive there we were bounced around between a couple people until we finally got the information. The website needs to be updated to include contact information for the appropriate person. Once we finally did get in contact with the right person, he gave us the information and apologized that previous communications did not go through. The property itself is in a great location. It’s nicely updated with plenty of room to relax and spread out. We had two couples in the unit; three couples would probably have been cramped due to limited seating in the living room area. The property was very clean. My only suggestion for the owners is that they have someone available to remove the snow and ice from the front of the property; there had been a storm in the area a day or so before and the front steps and sidewalk were completely ice covered. We had to buy salt and put it down. The other issue we had was with the thermostat. We would set a temperature but the thermostat would seem to pick its own setting and it was very hot or very cold in the unit.

The interior was comfortable and very pleasant. The proximity to downtown Frederick couldn't be better. The parking location, on an alleyway, was actually convenient but very hard to find and get to. Better instructions are necessary.

Very modern & beautiful furnishings. Although we did not do any shopping nearby it looked like there were plenty of places within walking distance. We were a little concerned about the neighborhood setting but, other than that it was a nice experience overall.

The host was very accommodating. We had one special request, and there was no problem fulfilling it.

Excellent communication with the host. Wonderful modern kitchen, along with other upgrades throughout the house. Definitely pay attention to the instructions from the host on where to park and how to get into the VRBO.

We had a fabulous time. The location is fantastic. We could walk to restaurants and coffee. Kitchen is nice. Beds are very comfortable. Showers were also very good. Highly recommend!

The host and property was everything we needed.

Apartment was very clean. We had issues with the TV. Location was very good.

Host was very accommodating on a last minute booking. The condo was very clean and walking distance to Carroll Creek.

We enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a wedding and didn't cook on the unit at all but it did seem well equipped. The inside is beautiful. The exterior could use just a little cleaning and painting.

Great stay! This will be our go to for Frederick. Nicely updated, comfortable and very clean. Host was also very responsive and helpful.

We were greeted with a note from the previous guests complaining there was only half a roll of toilet paper for the whole place. Then realized the maid did not show up so nothing was cleaned and the beds hadn't been stripped. Spent hours washing sheets and towels. Owner said sorry and that we would be reimbursed. Then the night b4 Thanksgiving new guests showed up - the place was double booked, asked to have lock code changed never heard from the owner. The unit below us had also been doubled booked. The owner apologized and said again we would be reimbursed - since we had to go out and buy toilet paper and paper towels. We left place as clean as possible and did most of laundry b/c didn't want next guest to go through what we did...guess what...never reimbursed. Keep looking - this place is not worth the hassle - unless you like cleaning, being ignored, having strangers interrupt your night by barging into the house and knowing there are people who have the code to your place and can come in at anytime.

The Host was totally unresponsive despite multiple attempts to contact him/her by message and by phone.

Our host, Emyli, was LOVELY and sooo WONDERFUL. She helped us in many ways including being so responsive in answering our frequent questions about the home.We have often been told when renting from a different rental company that the property is a short walk to main features of the town and then found out that the short walk was a LONG walk, often uphill and not at all what we expected. The short walk from Emyli's property was AMAZINGLY short. Many times a day we walked to and from our rental along the beautiful Carroll creek. Everything about the home was beautiful. Kitchen and LR were much bigger than shown in the photos, clean and really nicely redone. The dining room table was a standout. The top was wood that had been artistically & beautifully painted. As a builder of single family homes in Bethesda, I could appreciate the modern kitchen appliances and that both bathrooms were HUGE, each w/ two sinks AND all bedrooms had walkin closets. My husband likes a softer mattress and I like a harder one, but both of us completely enjoyed the bed. The mattress was soooo comfortable and the black out shades on the windows were GREAT. There was nothing to be disappointed about. It was ALL better than we even hoped for. Thank you especially to Emyli who insured that our visit was a wonderful one. We are looking forward to booking again.

Very nice inside, clean, everything worked, chairs and beds were comfortable. Very nice stay.The backyard where we parked is a bit rough looking, and we're glad it didn't rain as walking from the car to the house is over rather thin grass/dirt. I pulled the car around to the front the night we got dressed up and went out.

Condo unit was really nice and we enjoyed our stay. Constructive input includes TV in master needed; more comfortable chairs in LR, toaster did not operate. Minor comments as the unit was as advertised and we liked it alot!

Overall impression was that it was nice but wouldn't call it luxury. Very spacious for a one-level 3-bedroom unit. The host let us know that the cleaner was rushed so there were clean towels in the dryer for us and left bedding in the washer to wash next time without even considering that we'd want to do our own laundry during our stay. The place was surface cleaned. There was a tank top in the drawer, makeup under one of the beds, and LOTs of crumbs and food in the couch. It felt overall fixed up but in the cheapest way possible. The flooring was cut too short in parts and didn't always make it under the baseboards. The bathroom fixtured looked nice but were really cheap, the master bath shower door almost fell off, and the furniture in general was either stained, rundown or very uncomfortable. It looked as if the place was furnished from a thrift shop or college dorm. The toaster would toast but you had to hold down the lever the entire time. There was filtered water and ice built into the fridge but the filter needed to be replaced. On the bright side, the AC worked really well, it felt secure, and it is super walkable to downtown Frederick.

It was everything we needed close in so we were able to walk everywhere And comfortable. Make sure you understand where off street parking is and how to get there.

Overall stay was great, everything was as advertised. We had an issue in one of the bathrooms but it was resolved the next morning, it was well stocked with the necessities and few extras. The host was very quick to respond. The only issues/concerns was the bed in the master, was not quite sure what I slept but it was not a conventional mattress, so I would suggest them getting a actual queen size mattress. The orher issue we had was insects in one of the bedrooms no roaches or bed bugs just random insects, it maybe where that room is located or some hole somewhere, we bought some bug spray and were fine. Location is also great!

My now wife and I stayed in this spacious 3-bed apartment for our long wedding weekend! We needed a place that could be ours for a few days while also providing some space for the bridesmaids to get ready and it did wonders! Location is only a couple blocks from the main downtown streets and Carroll Creek and the hosts were communicative and accommodating. Thank you!!

The home was exactly as expected and made for a wonderful family/friend reunion! Perfect for socializing and so close to local shops and restaurants.

We had a great, problem-free stay at this perfectly located condo. Clean, convenient, quiet - highly recommended! We didn't have any communication with the property manager, which surprised us, but there was no need and we had no issues.

Clean & plenty of room.

The property looks kind of shabby from the rear, but the inside has been modernized and was extra clean. The kitchen was gorgeous. There are a few places where wear and tear were beginning to show and might need some attention. The bedding was adquate, but not luxury, and the light above the sink in guest bath didn't work. Nor did the toaster in the kitchen. So, minor things that just need a little TLC. But as to location, it couldn't have been better for our purposes. We were going to a concert at Weinberg Center, and also were interested in local history and local food. About a 2-3 block walk to everything, with very safe feeling surroundings. The front door keypad was of a type we'd not seen before, but check-in instructions instructions were good, and once mastered, it was a breeze coming and going. I should note that the Gaithers Alley behind the residence is where you can park, but can only be entered from the west end...it doesn't go though to Ice Street. Not knowing that, we had to loop back around a few blocks to find the entry. After parking, we never had to drive anywhere.Also, this is not a handicap accessible residence. You need to climb stairs to get into it. Not a factor for anyone in our party, but worhty of mention for others considering it.

The home is very pretty and well decorated. The issue is in communication. We were told we could arrive early and check in, but to our surprise the unit had not been cleaned by the maids at all. We contacted the owner immediately, who did not contact us back until the following day. The maids showed up close to 2 hours after we had been there. We were promised a discount because of the miscommunication. We did not receive one. The second incident occurred 1 day before checkout, when a strange man walked into the house to fix something in the house. We were not informed and he did not knock on the door, he just walked in. Just as with the maids they were unable to speak any English. Again we contacted the host who did not respond until after we checked out. The housekeeping nor maintenance understood English, so there was no help there.communication is something this property lacked the most. Aside from the things the home is great.

The condo is quite spacious, more than expected. We enjoyed the modern touches and private parking is a big plus in downtown Frederick. So close to Carroll Creek and Market St. The hosts are responsive. We highly recommend staying at Gideon Getaways!

Rear gutter may need to be cleaned, water dripping constantly, communication before arrival could have been much better, towels were provided after asking.

The condo was very good for the price and convenience. I think it definitely needs a little TLC with the furnishing and details. The communication for check-in was pretty poor and it took calling VRBO support to get our checkin instructions within 45 minutes of arrival after my messages were ignored for 2 days leading up to arrival.

Very comfortable stay - lovely finishes in bathrooms and kitchen.

To start, communication with this host was nonexistent. I messaged the host twice before we arrived, and never heard a word back. The photos of this property are very misleading. The stairway handrail from the front entrance to the condo proper is a safety hazard, as it is about to fall off the wall.The bedroom at the rear of the kitchen was unusable during a rainstorm. Must have a metal roof because it sounded like a hundred marbles were continuously hitting the roof. The mattress was the most inferior I have ever encountered in a lifetime of traveling. The worst thing was the bathroom attached to this bedroom had NO hot water! Made it totally unusable. The other bathroom photos show a very luxurious shower set-up, but we soon found out that the only thing that worked was the hand-held sprayer! Unacceptable. The water was lukewarm at best. The living room furniture is barely comfortable. Obviously old, passed down furniture. Also, bugs and spiders were a problem that could be controlled by a few traps. We will not be returning.
