Luxury Beachside Cottage: Ocean & Bay views with pools, hot tubs & grills

Enjoyed close and private access to the pool and the beach club was awesome. Did not like being so far from the beach club. Golf cart rental a must. But have to book weeks in advanced.

This house needs so much updating. So many things are in need of repair. My biggest concern was an extension cord to the lights on the underneath outside shower. It’s very dangerous and could cause a person to be electrocuted. I addressed my concerns with the property owners and I’m hoping they will fix the things that need repair.

The house and location were both great. Good times.

Very nice stay. Kitchen could use some updated cookware & utensils ( had to go out and buy a can opener). Excellently appointed for beach fun, wonderful location.

We enjoyed our stay in this house. The location was wonderful and very relaxing. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. There were little things about that house that keeps me from giving it 5 stars. The ceiling lights didn’t give off enough light to see, but there were enough lamps so that was ok. The handle for the master shower was on backwards so you had to turn it to “cold” to get hot water... not a problem, but would have been nice to know. There was only one dishwasher detergent pod, so we had to hand wash our dishes most of time we were there. We had some plumbing issues in the kitchen, but they were able to get it resolved fairly quickly. It was mostly clean, but I did find a few pieces of trash scattered around the place.

House is nice and clean. It’s a little ways out from all the main attractions in Galveston(30 min drive )

The person never responded to my vrbo messages. Upon check in I had to call to get the door code. The master shower hot water was reversed and the kitchen sink handle was broke. Sheets clean and towels clean. Walls a little dirty. Over all it was fine.

I am mixed on my review. This is a nice house but needs work. The AC was leaking when we arrived. Someone was out within 3 hours to fix the leak. Ceiling wouldn’t be repaired until after we left, which is fine. Things happen. The light fixtures do not go with this house at all. It’s like beach house meets American Horror Story. There were no hand towels that I could find. Just giant bath towels or tiny washcloths. All bedrooms are on second floor and living area is on top floor. I would prefer the opposite but not a deal breaker. The kitchen needs to be totally reorganized which I’m sure is from people putting things wherever they want. Needs a complete deep clean. Cabinet handles are grimes. Pots and pans and utensils need to be replaced. Old and worn. Beach Club is awesome. Food is delicious. Beach access is close by. We rented a golf cart to travel around the property. Get your groceries before you head down or expect to pay a fortune at the small stores close by. The gas grill on the top floor would not stay lit. The two center burners wouldn’t turn up high enough to keep it from blowing out. All in all not a bad house. Just needs a little loving.
