Three Oaks, Michigan
“Ashmoor” was originally built circa 1905 at 6 East Ash Street, where it remained in the McGawn family through the early 1960’s. The small estate was situated on 1/4 of an entire city block with beautifully landscaped and terraced gardens that included 2 ponds and a real wishing well. The home changed hands a few times during the next 40 years when in 2004, the home was lifted off its original stone foundation and moved to its present location (around the corner at 204 Oak Street.) The parcel was sub-divided into 3 smaller parcels with the home receiving the most land. At that time, the residence received major renovations and upgrades to the infrastructure and mechanical systems. Most all of the original trim, moldings, inlaid floors, pocket doors / French doors and fireplace have remained intact and compliment the current decor.
The current owners: Ron and Ken identified a need for overnight accommodations in the Village of Three Oaks and purchased the home in 2011 with the thoughts of establishing The Three Oaks Inn Bed and Breakfast. We continued where the prior owner left off and transformed the home into a boutique fine-lodging establishment. We offer our guests queen suites with private baths, fine furnishings and appointments. Our queen Sealy-Posturepedic Luxury-Plush bed sets offer quality bedding and linens for your comfort. The entire Inn has been appointed with fine furnishings and accessories from a mix of decorating styles and periods.
The Inn offers our guests tastefully furnished suites, each with a private bath, comfortable queen Sealy-Posturepedic Luxury-Plush bed sets which are made with crisp, quality bedding & linens. All rooms have been decorated and furnished with fine furniture & appointments. Your group will be the only guests on the property during your stay. The Innkeeper will always be available for questions, needs or recommendations.
Three Oaks Inn is an easy stroll to downtown Three Oaks attractions, galleries, shops, dining, winery/brewery, distillery and theaters. The Village of Three Oaks is just minutes from many area vineyards, beaches and everything HarborCountry & the surrounding Southwest Michigan area offers. There’s always something fun and interesting to enjoy year-round. We are a quick 30-minute drive to Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana for our “Fighting Irish” fans.
Children are welcome when the entire inn is reserved by a single party. Pets cannot be accommodated.
There are 9 beds (4 queen, 3 full + 2 twin airbeds) and 1 portable crib. Twin airbeds must be requested at time of reservation and will be available for your group to place, inflate and make during your stay.
There are several outdoor security cameras on the property located at the front door/street, back door/garage, garage/parking area. These cameras will be disabled during your stay unless we receive any alerts from neighboring properties. In any case, the cameras are not aimed at any outdoor area where you will gather. Please feel free to ask us about this practice.
Our group stayed in multiple houses in the area for a corporate retreat, and this one came away with raving reviews. Clean, had the majority of what was needed for their stay, and communication was impeccable. Highly recommend!
The house was great place to stay for a large group for the weekend in the summer around New Buffalo. We drove 10 minutes to the beach one day and rented a boat, with having a shuttle pick us up at the Josie and drive us around to the local wineries the next. Dinner at Journeyman, breakfast at Froehlichs, and pizza at Patellie’s were within a 5 minute walk. Cooking light meals and grilling outside at the house made the weekend perfect!
Our family of 8 had a great time staying here. Beautiful inn that is very well maintained. The kitchen is very well stocked which made cooking a few meals at home a breeze during our extended stay. The third floor bedroom was a bit uncomfortable for the taller people but worked well for the kids. Thank you for opening your inn to us!
I just wish we could’ve stayed longer! It had a warm, classy, comfortable level that you don’t see very often. I loved it! Wanted to take up residence! Thanks for sharing your home!
We throughly enjoyedstaying here!! All the comforts of home!!
We rented this beautiful home for a family reunion/vacation and it was perfect. Each of my adult siblings, and their family, had their own bedroom and bathroom. Everyone felt comfortable as the home has many gathering spots and is very clean. We spent a lot of time at different beaches just miles away. We loved all the little shops downtown that we walked to. We even used the school playground at night for the kids. The adults loved the outdoor fireplace patio- beautiful atmosphere! The kitchen had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and accommodating. All in all, a perfect 5stars in my book!
Great time. Weather could have been a little nicer. Owners very accommodating, and supplied many extras. Coffee pods, spices, natural gas grill, soap and conditioner. Only drawback is the stairwell, but must be expected with a vintage home.
We enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and well equipped for our needs. Ron greeted us and was very nice to work with. We also enjoyed time eating at the picnic tables and relaxing at the patio.
This was a very comfortable and enjoyable home for our extended family to reconnect!
Beautiful place. My family and I enjoyed our stay. Thanks Ron & Ken!
