Great spot great location
This house had everything we needed! It was clean, had all the essentials to get you started and there was plenty of parking. I would definitely stay here again!
This property is just as advertised, modern and open, comfortable beds, clean, sparkling pool, and a short walk to the beach. It was the perfect place to stay with my dogs, my parents and my husband and his parents. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Also Avon is quiet but has enough restaurants and coffee shops and places to walk to, best of both worlds.
What a great stay! Close to everything and the house was perfect for my wife, two small children and in-laws. Pool and hot tub were spotless. Highly recommend!
Great property! We would definitely stay here again. Our family of 7 was very comfortable here. The elevator was great for getting luggage and groceries up and down. Our favorite part was on hanging bed on the 2nd floor deck. One suggestion we would give is that they get larger comforters. We had a hard time both staying covered up in the king bed. Other than that the house was great! Also, just something you may want to know when traveling to Avon, there aren't really many stores here (no walmart, targets, department stores, etc) just a Food Lion we went to a lot and the mosquitos here at night time are terrible and resistant to Off Spray. Just plan accordingly and you will be fine.
Tangled in Blue is a nice house that has plenty of room for our family of eight. We've stayed here before so we were excited to return. The house is still nice - some wear and tear but the problem was the service. During our stay the one air conditioner started dripping water and on our grilling night we had no propane. We tried to call service. We were hung up on twice. The third time no one was available. We called again the next day to let them know about the A/C and also to let them know the ice maker was not working. They showed up and we were told to turn off the A/C until they could send someone out to service it. It was one of the hottest weeks and we called back and spoke to Megan?. She was very nice and apologized for their lack of someone being available. We told her that we were collecting the water while it was dripping and were emptying the pot frequently but the carpet was soaking wet. We thought it would be a good idea to have someone come and try to dry it up before mold set in. No one seemed concerned. Once the service person arrived it was an easy fix. We thought the owners would want to know that the service department didn't do a good job and that their carpeting was getting ruined. The ice maker never got fixed. We saw that it wasn't working because the gaskets around the freezer weren't sealing. Hope the owners see this review.
From design, to cleanliness, to location, Tangled up in Blue proves itself a worthy allusion to the incredible song. We loved this family-friendly house in every way.
Loved it everything was perfect ,the only problem was the week went by way to fast
We have stayed in a lot of homes over the years in OBX. This home has one of the best we have stayed in as far as amenities and cleanliness. The only complaint is it could have more comfortable seating and trimmed grass for the dogs to do their business. Otherwise, great home!!
The house was lovely for the most part. The walk to the beach wasn’t simple but it was close. We just left so we were there during off peak season. I don’t think I’d recommend others do that because a lot of the island isn’t open, didn’t realize that would be an issue when we booked. Our biggest issue was the pool, it wasn’t clean BUT aside from that issue, I got an email two weeks before our stay stating the home owners installed a heater for the pool and for an additional fee they’d heat the pool. Awesome, kids would love that. We got there pool was not clean and the water was freezing. Come to find out the power for the heater had yet to be installed, I can’t figure out why you’d offer someone something you physically can’t provide. We did get a refund so they made it right but we had 6 kids expecting to be able to swim, they didn’t care about the money part. Aside from that the house was nice, our family had a good time together but I doubt we’ll be back.
