Stayed Apr 3, 2026We used Uber and metro transportation, and the location made getting around easy. The property was well-equipped with everything we needed, and we enjoyed the charm of staying in a historic brownstone. The host made both check-in and check-out seamless.

Stayed Oct 9, 2025Had a great stay in DC. Rooms were clean and large. Property is located in a good location and is near to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Our host was very responsive to all my questions and responded quickly when we accidentally locked ourselves out. Would definitely rebook this property.

Stayed Oct 3, 2025This home was great for our family with 6 couples! The location is great with a bunch of restaurants and bars around the corner, a 20 minute walk to the zoo and a 30ish minute walk to the monuments. David was easy to communicate with and had an easy check in and check out process. Each room was large with plenty of space to spread out our stuff and had exceptionally comfortable beds. There were 2 king beds and 2 queen beds in the main space, and 2 king beds in the downstairs, along with available futons. The kitchen was well stocked and worked great for a dinner at the house one of the evenings. Having additional fridges was also useful for our group. Other useful amenities were the washer and dryer with included detergent and multiple couches in the main living room. We were able to fit a midsize car in the back spot, but it was a little tight, there was also plenty of street parking and a nearby parking garage that some people in our group chose to use.

Stayed Aug 29, 2025The Brownstone in DuPont Circle was perfect for our family gathering. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out or congregate. The location was great. Easy walk to the White House or Zoo and right around the corner from a lively street in Adams Morgan. David was easy to work with and all our needs were met. I would highly recommend this location.

Stayed Jul 24, 2025The house was in a great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants. It was spacious and perfect for a large group, which can be hard to find. The host was responsive when the power went out, which we appreciated. That said, there were several issues:1.We didn’t receive check-in info by 4 PM and had to call at 4:15. The host was defensive and only sent the info while we were on the phone.2.The second-floor bathroom sink was leaking from the start. When we reported it, the host blamed us for causing the issue, and suggested we had put pressure on the sink and caused the issue. We had to use a bowl to catch water.3.The listing mentions a parking spot, but the alley is far too tight for any midsize or large car. The host was rude when we brought this up.4.The second-floor shower did not drain properly. When we flagged it, the host insisted it worked and told us to use drain cleaner.5.During the power outage, we asked about flashlights and followed his directions to look. We found nothing and got no reply when we followed up.None of these were trip-ending, but the host’s attitude was consistently defensive, rude, and unhelpful. A little kindness would have made a big difference.

Stayed Jul 6, 2025Wonderful place for our family reunion - 8 adults and 4 tween kids. Lovely older home, classic Wash DC brownstone, on charming street .... very 'Washingtonian'!Special positives: great A/C (hot July !), comfy beds with nice linens, large washer/dryer, great large table perfect for meals and games. 2 BRs are in lower area, entered via door under front steps, which our kids loved. Minor notes: back parking space is very small and was not useful for us; home is equidistant to two metro stops (Duport, U Street) which is .6 mile walk (safe and atmospheric). Overall, wonderful spot. Would rent again.

Stayed Jun 12, 2025We hosted a family get together will 11 people for 3 nights. The home is beautiful and well stocked. There was plenty of space for all of us, although the stairs were a bit difficult for my parents to navigate (in their 80s). There are several grocery stores and coffee shops within a 5-10-minute walk, and be sure to check out the popular Japanese market on the corner. I would have given this home a 5-star rating except for a few issues: Even though this is a 6-bedroom home listed for 12 people - we were billed an extra fee. I was told this is because there were more than 6 people. Also- the listing says there is a parking space but were told when we arrived that we couldn't use it. This left us scrambling to find a place to park. (On street parking, when available, is limited to 2 hours.) Despite these issues, we had a great time and made wonderful memories with our family.

Stayed May 7, 2025Property is very well located. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. Only street parking available which depending on timing could be challenging. Kitchen was nice but could be even better for family events with the addition of serving dishes, cutting boards and dish towels.

Stayed Jul 13, 2024This was our home base for our DC vacation that coincided with our daughter’s wedding. During a week of blistering 100 degree days, this was an Oasis. The AC was fantastic, the beds super comfortable, the bedding was luxurious. With six big bedrooms and 3 different sitting areas, there was no sense of crowding. We sat 12 for dinner in the dining room. The kitchen amenities allowed for cooking but situated in the middle of a cornucopia of restaurants, we didn’t use the kitchen as much as we thought we would. The two distinct apartments was an unexpected bonus as the night-owls were able to stay up talking and gaming to the wee-hours and the rest of us enjoyed undisturbed peace. We used the metro and the bus for travel and the station was an 18 minute walk, although the bus stop was literally across the street, so once we figured that out, we did less walking. Close proximity to great ice cream (5-6 minutes around the corner) for nightly routines and a variety of restaurants. This place was fantastic! Highly recommend!
