Kitchen had all needed appliances and pots and pans for easy cooking. Very spacious living space and bedrooms made it easy for six adults and two children.

We had Polar Express tickets and this was the perfect location. Although the weather was cold, the lake view was beautiful to wake up too. The house was fully stocked with everything needed, very spacious and very clean. Since we had a toddler really appreciated how family friendly and child proof the house was. Would definitely love to stay again!

Beautiful home!! We enjoyed our stay and appreciated how clean and well maintained the house was. The only recommendation we have would be lighting at the driveway for people arriving after dark.

Took a trip for my 48th birthday celebration. A group of our friends from NC. We decided to stay in this Vrbo so we could all be together as much as possible It was great!!! best equipped VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. If we ever get down this way again we would stay here again in a heartbeat

We had an amazing time for our twice yearly girls trip. The house is extremely well appointed, beds are very comfortable, living room is wonderful for hanging out and the views are beautiful. Some of our party took advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks and the house had tons of room and was very comfortable. Super closer drive to cute shops and great restaurants in Lexington. Communication with hosts was excellent and quick. We are already talking about returning.

This was the perfect place for our Girls Weekend getaway! The house was beautiful and spacious with plenty of room for everyone, and the lake offered the perfect backdrop for a weekend of relaxing and decompressing. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Fantastic Lakeside Retreat for Our Annual Girls' Trip!This property was absolutely beautiful! The location, right on the lake, was perfect for our annual Girls' Trip. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the essentials, making it easy for us to cook and enjoy meals together. Inside the house was immaculate, with lovely decor that clearly reflected a lot of thought and care. One of the highlights for us was sitting on the top deck early in the morning with a book in hand—it was the perfect spot for some peaceful alone time.Lockie, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive to all my questions before our stay and went above and beyond by letting me know the house was ready a few hours ahead of the scheduled check-in time, which was a nice bonus.The only minor areas for improvement were that the grass could’ve been trimmed (but was still manageable), and we did think it would be nice to have shades along the front side of the back porch to block the afternoon sun, which can get a bit intense.A small tip for future guests: make sure to pack a little camping shovel, just in case the fire pit needs attentionIt's worth noting that the property is in a residential area with a homeowner living very close. He was incredibly friendly, and we were mindful to keep our noise levels respectful, knowing we were guests in the area.Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing lakeside getaway!

As a group of 4 couples, the house worked perfectly for us. House was very clean and well stocked. The use of the paddleboards and kayaks made our time on the lake a lot of fun. We would love to come back!

I rented the home for a semi annual fishing trip with my buddies from work. The house was clean, neat, well stocked and was exactly as advertised. The views of the lake were amazing. The access to the lake was incredibly easy. This home has a nice layout and a great kitchen. The price to rent was more than fair. Thank you for having us. We would definitely love to book with you again, possibly in the spring of 2026

Great property on the lake! We stayed here for a wedding weekend, as our nephew was getting married nearby. Was perfect for everyone, grandparents to teenaged grandkids — loved sitting on dock, paddle boarding, etc

Easy check in! Kitchen is fully stocked and might be the best rental kitchen of all the ones I’ve stayed in! Everything was clean and easy to find.

House is well maintained.There are usable inflatable floats under the house. Lots of condiments in fridge and spices in the cabinet left from previous guests. Nice selection of child and adult games as well.Would stay here again.

We had a great time with our family at High Rock Lake! We loved the open floor plan of the house for gathering and meals, and the cozy, comfortable bedrooms for relaxing. The paddle boards and kayaks are a great perk, as is the dock for sunning, swimming, and fishing. We would definitely stay again!

Our daughter got married over the 4th weekend and we had family coming in from different parts of the country. This was a perfect house to fit everyone comfortably, have nice amenities (including being right on the lake), and relatively easy access to the wedding venue and Lexington. Communication with the owner was easy, the house was clean, and it was overall one of the better properties I've stayed at.

We got to spend another year at this beautiful lake house! We spent many days in the lake swimming, paddling, and fishing. We also rented a boat, ate lots of BBQ, and went to Tiger world.Thank you for such a nice and accommodating place for our family to vacation together. So many good memories made here!

This was our first time staying on High Rock Lake and we are big fans.The house, location on the lake, and overall vibe were exactly what we needed.

The house was beautiful and clean. The setup of bedrooms/bathrooms allowed each family to share the Jack & Jill bathrooms with double sinks and separate shower/toilet. The large living room was perfect for all of us to be together. The view of the lake was stunning! We did have an issue with one of the tubs draining, but it seemed to work better after we purchased some Draino. We also noticed some ants in the living room around the windows, but found some ant spray under the kitchen sink, so I’m guessing it’s a common/seasonal problem. The outdoor deck and balcony were nice, but could use a good power wash; there were lots of cobwebs and dust. Overall, it was a great place for our large family.

The house is beautiful and well maintained. The owner was very quick to respond to all questions. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway in a beautiful setting.

This was perfect for a ladies’ getaway: the layout is great, spacious, well maintained, and well stocked. Plenty of space to hang out, relax, and bake (we baked a lot! The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary tools). Our group is already discussing when we can come back!

It was plenty of room for my family of 10. The kids loved it had a backyard and a dock for them to catch some fish. Overall stay was great we will try it in the summertime and bring the boat to enjoy the lake next year.

My family and I booked tickets for the Polar Express at the NC Transportation Museum and decided to make a weekend out of it. This property on the lake was just 20-25 minutes away and was absolutely perfect. The lake view was amazing and we had plenty of room for our crew of 10. We were close to food and grocery stores. We were also able to DoorDash food with ease. The house was clean and seems to be a fairly new build. My family would highly recommend!

The lake is beautiful and quiet! We stayed as a surprise for our youngest birthday to the NC transportation museum. This was a great spot to stay… we checked out the surrounding small towns and really enjoyed a few nice slow quiet days. Everyone loved the house lots of room for everyone to stretch out and still cozy like home.

We enjoyed being able to stay together while visiting our son at college. Owner is very nice and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

My experience was great from the very beginning. The owner Lockie is very responsive and answered all of my questions very promptly. There's plenty of parking space to accommodate multiple vehicles and a boat ramp right on the property, very convenient. The house was very obviously designed as a rental with much thought put into the design to comfortably accommodate ten people. It was very neat and clean and nicely decorated. The upstairs bedrooms share large Jack and Jill bathrooms with plenty of space for all. The master suite is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is amazing with tons of cabinet space as well as a very large bar countertop complete with comfy chairs. Lockie must be a cook and entertainer because the kitchen had every single item you will need, plus some. The main level deck was great as well as the dock area. There is a fire ring in the yard and we spent several evenings gathered around it. The only negatives I would mention is the dining table is kind of small and does not expand, but there is a large table on the deck that would be another option. Also, the lake was quite murky and there was quite a lot of debris as well as shallow areas not well marked, so you have to be very careful if you have the use of a boat. The lake was not very busy, which made it quite pleasant to float around. All in all I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful, clean and VERY well stocked home! We rented a pontoon for the day and it was wonderful to have access on their dock to tie up for lunch. Very convenient. Just an all around wonderful vacation. Lockie and Hunter were very helpful and prompt with communication.

The house was extremely clean, comfortable, and large enough for 9 of us to have plenty of space. The common area was open and full of light, and most of the rooms had expansive views of the peaceful lake. The kitchen was well-appointed, with plenty of dishes and glassware for a large group. We spent a lot of time relaxing outside on the porches, noting the quiet neighborhood (and the lack of mosquitos!). We all had a wonderful time!

Our multi-generational crew shared a wonderful week at Lockie and Zach's lake house. We found the layout of the home to accommodate our group of 9 adults nicely. Community areas were spacious, pleasantly decorated, and comfortable. The kitchen easily accommodated many of us at once. With two upstairs bedrooms on each side of the home connected by a generous shared bathroom for each pair of bedrooms, our various family groups had privacy appreciated by all. Staying on the lake was fun and relaxing! Similarly to the home being well-equipped inside, there were also lots of toys for use outdoors and on the lake (corn hole, kayaks, paddleboards, floats) ensuring everyone had fun on the water. We especially appreciated the lake views from the deck and the impressive fishing birds visiting the lake/shore daily including heron, egrets, and bald eagles. The Hunters were helpful and responsive hosts - thank you both. This is a beautiful home and a super relaxing venue!

The kitchen has nice appliances and is stocked with everything you need to cook including salt, pepper and olive oil. The common areas make it easy to hang out with a large group. There is a big TV and a pool table! We had 10 people for a family reunion and that made our stay a little challenging. No deal breakers, but... The dining room table only seats 6 people comfortably. Luckily, the stools at the kitchen bar were able to handle the overflow. The lower level outside deck has a table large enough to seat 10, but the deck is too narrow to accommodate people seated on both sides of the table without if feeling cramped. The pier and floating dock made it easy to access the lake. Our teenagers spent hours playing in the water. The house comes with lots of inflatables and toys stored haphazardly under the deck. One of the main reasons we chose this house over others is because it advertises 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks. We were disappointed with these. All 4 of these water toys are in need of some TLC. One of the kayaks is completely missing a seat-back. The seat of the second kayak was in tatters, making it totally useless. Both of the paddle boards were deflated with no clear way to pump them up. The host was apologetic and told us where to find the pump. Eventually we got one of the paddle boards up and running. Overall a nice stay, but for the price we were expecting more of a turnkey experience. Some attention to detail and TLC could make this place perfect.

The kids loved the house and all of the space. Everything was comfortable and inviting. We all loved playing in the lake. My husband enjoyed fishing, kayaking was really fun, and the kids liked swimming, too. It was a nice, cozy family vacation and everyone enjoyed the stay.
