Stayed Feb 19, 2023I was able to put the girls in their stroller and walk a couple of blocks to get coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I strolled them much further, to the fort, for several hours from this house if youre up for it. Lots of homeless in St Augustine so keep an eye out for them, theyre everywhere. Tvs were helpful for the kids. Plenty of room for 2 adults, 3 kids. We all used the only bathroom on the second floor. The main floor has one but its behind the kitchen and we never used it. The back deck, outside furntiure and driveway inside the yard was black from mold and was probably due for a pressure washing so we only went out there once. Enough parking in front of the house for my Yukon albeit tight and my husbands big work truck. Convenience to town was the nicest feature for me since I do not like to drive on my vacations.

Stayed Dec 23, 2021Our traveling group of 5 families were scattered all over town. We were worried being the furthest from the beach. We couldn't beore wrong. Historic downtown was where action is and we were within walking distance.

Stayed Jul 28, 2021Great location for being just outside of the historic downtown area. Easily assessable to downtown via walking a few blocks. Great home for a family vacation with great sleeping arrangements and a nice family room and kitchen set up for relaxing at home when needed.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Parador. The house was exactly as described. It had obviously been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected when we checked in. That was reassuring in the age of COVID. The location was perfect for us. It was about a ten-minute walk to the heart of historic St. Augustine. The Maria Sanchez Lake was basically right there at the end of our street. It was far enough away from the action that it was quiet. Old St. Augustine could be pretty noisy at night, so we appreciated the remove from the action. The property owner was extremely prompt and helpful with communications. The house was quite charming with a lot of character. It was very pleasant to sit on the patio in the backyard and read. Just a few drawbacks. In the master bedroom, there was a waterproof mattress pad. I totally understand the reason for it, but this one was plastic and therefore noisy and hot. Also, it does not seem like previous renters had been so interested in using the kitchen as it was poorly stocked. We, however, like to save money by at least having breakfast at our rental. We could have used a few more of the basic supplies and equipment. Also, the kitchen faucet only turned on when it felt like it. That makes it very difficult to clean up after oneself when the faucet is capricious. Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay here. It was an authentic old St. Augustine experience.
