Lured by the Lake | Lakefront Views, Hot Tub, Fire Pit

We had an enjoyable stay at this house. The neighborhood was very nice and the location was very good as well. The inside was pretty clean with lots of utensils, plates, kitchen space. Linens and towels that were provided were clean. We did have some problems which is the reason for some of the below average reviews. I arrived and was getting ready to make steaks only to find the propane tank was empty. I called Taylor Made and they had someone deliver a new one the next day. The sink and bathtub drains were partially clogged and had lots of yucky stuff in them. I sent a text to Taylor Made about the problem and received a message back saying they would have someone take care of it. No one ever called or came to address the issue. The outside was not very clean at all. The hot tub was dirty and it looked like the porch and chairs and doorways hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. I had to sweep the porch and clean off all the chairs. The front door was dirty as well. This was our first vacation in about 7 years and it was a lot of money to stay here. I guess I just think that for that amount of money we should not have had problems like that and for sure that they should have been addressed.

Our stay was wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything needed to prepare meals for the 9 of us. The house was tastefully decorated and very spacious. Beds and couches were super comfy. We loved having the pool table and extra downstairs mini fridge. The weather was quite chilly, so the hot tub and fire pit were a big hit! There were a couple things I wish we had known. The property has a lot of stairs to get back & forth to the floating pier. The pier is shared with the other surrounding houses. The water way is crazy busy and appears to have no speed limits, making the lake rough, so we weren't able to just sit on the pier. We hauled our(4)kayaks/paddle boards to use, but due to all the stairs (70+) and the rough water, we didn't feel it was safe. The house is also very close to the neighboring houses and any outside noise travels. One of the neighbors did come over and ask us to turn down our music when we were in the hot tub. Sorry about that. Overall, it was a great place to stay and would recommend it for larger groups.

This porperty was very accurate compared to the descriptions. The house was very clean and seemed well maintained. I have bad allergies/asthma and I am always very sensitive to vacation homes that are dusty or that have old water damage/mold. I didnt have any issues here! This house was large enough for multiple couples and families. We loved having access to the dock and being able to go swimming without taking the boat out. Everyone in our group had compliments about this stay!

Great vacation home for the four of us and a friend for each of the kids. It has a great open floor plan and plenty of room to relax. The dock below the house was awesome for swimming and kayaking. We all enjoyed the pool table and fire pit after long days on the water. House has a large well equipped kitchen that allowed us to enjoy family dinners. The central location is near several restaurants and a cool state park with hiking trails and a great discovery center. The extra refrigerator at the basement bar was a surprise and a huge plus. We loved our time at Lured by the Lake and would highly recommend the house for any family looking to get away for a week at the lake.

This was the second time myself and a group of friends stayed in this house. We loved it so much the first time that we had to come back. The house is very spacious, welcoming, and has great views. I was a bit taken aback by the bucket on the floor in the living room when we arrived. Soon found out it was because of a leak in the ceiling. We couldn't use the living room the last night of our stay because water droplets started hitting us on the head while we were hanging out watching tv. We called and they said they would send someone out the next day. We left right before the 10:00 check out time but never saw anyone before we left. Very disappointed that they rented out the house knowing there was a leak in the ceiling. I will find another house to stay at the next time we visit Deep Creek.

Beautiful home on the lake. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate but the home was beautiful and cozy and we enjoyed a great extended family weekend!

Tremendous opportunity to share with friends and family.. I did have some work related things that did become challenging because cell phone service and internet service was poor at best. Overall made it work however. Beautiful place.

We had plenty of room to spend time together and space for alone time as well. The house was clean and comfortable and well supplied. There are a lot of steps down to the dock (71 plus ramps) which is somewhat of a drawback for elders or those that are physically challenged but we managed. The house does need a better vacuum cleaner. We had 3 children with us so wanted to keep the floors clean so a better working model would have been great. Plenty of bath towels but only 2 kitchen towels which were inadequate for such a large group. Two small complaints is all we could come up with. A beautiful home in a perfect location. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone with a large group.
