Whenyou walk into our home, you will see the living room to your left with comfortable chairs, an electric fireplace and plenty of room to relax together. The dining room is straight ahead where we have a table with seating for four and an additional two chairs at the breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully-equipped and has everything you need to make a home-cooked meal. The master bedroom has a king bed and beautiful mountain views. The second bedroom has twins beds and a desk / makeup area. The third room has a futon that folds out into a bed. Our home also has two full bathrooms.

Traveling with another family or need more space Check out our sister listing right across the street! We also host Luxury Loft at Luray - Mins to Main St & Caverns. Book both for walking proximity with the privacy of your own home. Message us for discounts if booking both.

The charming and historic town of Luray has a train that passes through its center, which also passes through the rear of the backyard. Many guests and kids love to watch the train pass by, but if you are a light sleeper this may not be for you. We do have sound machines and our reviews show that most people love the train and have no issues with the sound. We love pets and are pet friendly, but please be sure to list your pet. There is a $60 pet fee that goes directly to our cleaner for the extra time required to clean.

Don't forget to checkout the basement where we have a ping pong table and a second living room! We have an adorable screened in, newly renovated gazebo with night lights and a firepit outside in the backyard - where you can see the spectacular mountain views the area has to offer!

Stay in the heart of town with access to all of the outdoor activities the Shenandoah Valley has to offer!

Guest Access:

The house has a digital keypad at the front door which will provide you access to the house. The code will be provided upon check-in. You will have full and private access to the entire home.

The Neighborhood:

Take a quick walk to Main Street (less than one minute!) where you'll find local restaurants, bars and shops! Some delicious local restaurants on Main Street include the Chop House, Porch+Vine, West Main Market and Gathering Grounds. Blue Shepherd Spirits and Hawksbill Brewing are great places to grab a drink on Main Street. Be sure to check out some great local shops on Main Street such as Nest & Hive (we purchase a lot of our décor from here)! There is also an ice cream shop and movie theater on Main Street. All of these are short walking distance from our home!

We are also a short drive to the Caverns, Shenandoah River and Shenandoah National Park!

Our home is close to railroad tracks. We feel that this adds to the charm of the home, but if you are concerned about the railroad tracks or the noise, you might look elsewhere. We have a few sound machines in the home to help with the noise. We look forward to hosting you!

Getting Around:

There is room for multiple cars to park at the house, but please note that this is a downtown area, so there is limited parking on the street for extra parking.

Other Things to Note:

We are a pet friendly home, but please list your pets! There is a $60 non-refundable pet fee that goes directly to our cleaner for the extra time spent cleaning for the next guest. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. If you do not list your pet and there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this.

Interaction with Guests:

We like to give our guests maximum privacy, so we offer contact-free check-in via a digital door code. Just know that we are only a phone call away if ever the need arises during your stay!

The house is cute. It was nice having another full bathroom in the basement. Were only given one wash cloth for four people. The description did not say to bring your own so we had to run to Walmart and thankfully it is close by. I would suggest better and brighter lighting throughout the inside of the home. Hard to function at night with such low lighting. The grass was a high. We actually enjoyed the trains going by. Other than that everything was good! The town of Luray is so cute.

The location of this house was perfect for our golfing/hiking getaway. 3 - 60 yr olds. Hiking at old rag, about a half hour away was awesome. Golfing at Shenvalle was awesome and nearby. There are plenty of places to get food and drink within walking distance.Ping-pong in the basement was an added bonus.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. It is a good value for the accommodations and communication was excellent. Location is great for access to central Shenandoah park and several cute eateries in town. The home was sparse but had everything we needed and the ping pong table downstairs was a treat. As the listing says, the property is close to train tracks. This was not a problem for the kiddos staying at the front of the house, but it is VERY loud the back (primary) bedroom. The whole room shakes and there were 2-3 trains per night sleeping hours during our stay. The property is also close to a fire station, and we heard several loud sirens (think tornado sirens) that were startling. Obviously, not a fault of the property owners but something to consider for lighter sleepers.

Good location in the town, very walkable to eateries and a nice greenway. 5 min drive to the Caverns and other attractions nearby. Cozy and thought out use of the space. Pet friendly was also a huge plus.

Very cute property centrally located to everything! Walking distance to the cute little Main Street. Great for the caverns and the fairgrounds. The train at the back of the property was not bad it can through early afternoon and kids loved seeing it! Beautiful views of the mountains! Really a great all around place with amazing touches of home!

Our family of 5 (3 grown kids) had a nice stay, the train was very loud though which was the only negative. I could imagine it would be a thrill for little ones. The home was clean, and the comforts of coffee, soap, paper products provided by the host was very nice. The hiking was lovely despite wildfires on the first day, and Luray Caverns was a highlight of our weekend. Would definitely visit again.

The house was clean, cozy and perfect for our family. It was a short walk into town for cute shops and yummy restaurants and a short drive to Shenandoah for hiking. We had a great stay and hope to return soon!

It was so nice to be able to go hiking and not have to drive anywhere for breakfast or after coming home. While Luray is small, there is a great coffee shop, brewery, restaurants, and more just a block away. The house was also very clean and comfortable.
