This is a beautiful, well kept and well appointed home. The front porch is expansive and a great place to curl up with a book and listen to the waves in the bay. The home is comfortable and is centrally located. It is easy to get to many fun activities, including Kayaking, hiking, local shopping, beach going, site seeing, exploring. We highly recommend this home, and we look forward to coming back next year! ?
Quiet location and a good get-off-radar from work for me. Close to everything.
Lovely, comfortable, clean home. David was super easy to work with and we all had a wonderful week exploring the island and visiting with family. Thank you!

Our second stay was every bit as enjoyable as our first, a year ago. This is a beautidully maintained property with lovely ocean outlooks from all living areas and the raised deck. The house is fully and thoughtfully equipped for a Maine coastal holiday; the three bedrooms are equally pleasing, immaculate, comfortable. The open plan works perfectly for family living. We have found David, the property manager, to be immediately responsive on any question, professional in all dealings - and welcoming! This makes a fine base for exploring the Harpswell islands and this part of midcoast Maine.
My wife, family and I loved this house. It was well kept and had all the amenities we were looking for… washer/dryer, big fridge, grill, Keurig and ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. The only thing missing was a dishwasher. It had a real home vibe, like we were staying at a friend’s beach house. We hung out on the front porch a lot, enjoying the view. We had a couple issues, but Dave the property manager was very attentive to our needs. If we come back this way, we would definitely stay here again.
We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay on beautiful Orr's Island. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. We especially appreciated the open kitchen, living room, and dining area, where we could all spend time together. We loved the wonderful view and location, and enjoyed spectacular sunrises over the water each morning. Thanks to the owner and property manager for sharing this lovely home with us.
Location, location, location! Grand view, quiet and peaceful. The drive to Orr's island was a beautiful scenic experience day after day. The house worked well for the four of us. The bed in the Master was a little tight and pillows need to be improved but the comfort of the house was cozy and easy to navigate.
Well appointed home with a beautiful view of the water. Close to local restaurants and activities. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings, watching deer and foxes run by.
This house (and as a result our stay) was the most perfect VRBO house we've stayed in. Our three-year-old granddaughter was enchanted with the children's room. So many thoughts touches throughout the house. David was amazing - from texting us ahead of time to let us know that the house was ready early to answering our few questions promptly. He made everything so easy. The area is stunning. We especially enjoyed all that Orrs and Bailey Islands had to offer, including a penny candy store! We look forward to returning in the future. Many thanks for a perfect holiday!
We rented this home in Harpswell for the week of the 4th of July, and were so excited about this trip for 7 months as we planned for it. When we got to the house it was lovely. That was until we turned on the water to fill our dog's bowl. We immediately noticed the overwhelming smell of sulfur when we turned on the faucet, and the water was distinctly yellow. I texted David and he told me to just run the water for 20 minutes. I told him that did not do anything, and he eventually told me a filter needed to be replaced. He came over, no filter needed to be replaced. He told us that water was like this in Harpswell and he regularly bathed in yellow water. We asked our cousins, who own a home in Harpswell, and they adamantly disagreed. When we told him that, he instead told us that the owner had to put in a bleach/chlorine filter system. I told David I was pregnant and my OBGYN advised against either bathing in yellow water or a newly installed and uninspected bleach filter system, so we left. David was rude, unhelpful and lied every step of the way. Our whole 4th of July trip was ruined and we returned home on another long drive. No apologies from the property manager. Harpswell is a lovely place, where we have spent a lot of time growing up. Please don't risk your health on a house with unsafe water and a manager who lies about it.
This was a perfect location to getaway and rejuvenate. We spent quite a bit of time sitting of the front porch looking at the view of the cove and the occasional wildlife strolling by. The house itself was comfortable. The kitchen well equipped. Overall a wonderful experience and would recommend this property .
View spectacular! Got to see deer in backyard. Clean, comfy, great area to explore.
We had a wonderful time on our stay here. There house has incredible views, was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed to accommodate both grandparents and the young kids. The fire place was so lovely to have in the evenings, the kitchen was well equipped and David was lovely and proactive when we lost power due to a big storm. We would happily return. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
