The Space:

This lovely four bedroom vacation home, located on a large lot in the beautiful seaside town of Chatham, is just the place to bring the whole family, including the dog, for an unforgettable Cape Cod vacation!

Hop on your bicycles and head down the street to the Old Colony Rail Trail, where you can journey through this completely paved eight mile former railroad trail runningfrom Chatham to Harwich before connecting to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. From the property, you can hop in the car and drive just a few minutes to Chatham’s beautiful, pedestrian-friendly Main Street, where you will find some of the best seafood around, not to mention the many fine shops and galleries that make downtown Chatham so unique. Spend a day at nearby Chatham Lighthouse Beach, located only half a mile from downtown or two miles from the property, where you can relax on the beach, enjoying the sun, sand, and ocean, or try climbing to the peak of the lighthouse to be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the beach and surrounding scenery.

Back at the property, you will enjoy a large grassy yard; perfect for running around with the kids (and dog) and playing yard games. There is a nice deck area with a picnic table, where you can enjoy family meals outside under the blue skies, and you can fire up the gas grill for a nice BBQ as often as you’d like, as full propane tanks will be supplied. Enjoy taking morning showers in the enclosed outdoor shower.

Inside the home, you will find a living room with hardwood floors and a flat screen TV; a great space for relaxing and enjoying movie nights with the family. The fully equipped kitchen features stone countertops, bar seating, and stainless steel appliances, with a six seat dining area adjacent. Also on the main floor are two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with a twin single and twin trundle, as well as a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Walk up the stairs to the second floor to find the other two bedrooms, including the master with a queen size bed and en suite full bathroom with a tub/shower combo, and the last bedroom with three twin singles. Other amenities include a smart lock for easy self check-in, window A/C units in the bedrooms, a washer and dryer in the basement, and sheets and bath towels provided to all guests at no extra cost with beds made upon arrival.

    The house was great and we really appreciated the communication from DelMar management company. House was very clean and comfortable. We only used the first floor, but I could see 2 families staying here with a Q bed and a room of twins on each level.The entrance on the side of the house is not well lit and sloped; fine for us but in case anyone with mobility issues is looking at this home, you should be aware. Chatham was a great town to visit!

    House was well equipped. Very clean. Lighting could be brighter. Would recommend grab bars is both bathtubs/showers. Pricing on your website for this property was very confusing and none of the numbers added up. Had to go back and forth more than several times between VRBO and Del Mar to get accurate details on pricing. Very annoying!

    Lets start with the positive. The location is close to downtown, a nice bike trail, and a cute little pond. The support team, ESPECIALLY KENDALL, were very quick to respond with any issues we had, so big points there. Now the negative. The house needs an overhaul. The A/C window units are old and every time they kicked on, the lights flickered. If you left too many lights on, the A/Cs were overwhelmed and did not cool the rooms. Do you like power strips? Awesome, because there are power strips in every room. As a professional firefighter, I was surprised this was allowed. The doors were old and missing parts, the windows in the kitchen slammed down when my mother in law went to open one and cut her finger. The landscaping is over running the house. The outside shower door was held closed by a random stick and a hair tie. A HAIR TIE. Yes, have pictures of all. Needless to say, VERY disappointed for $4100/week. I recognize DelMar needs to make their money and the owner needs to make their money, and I realize NO home is perfect and there will always be quirks. HOWEVER, this is the 5th summer house I've rented in Chatham and it was by far the worst maintained home. For Chatham and this rate, you expect the windows to work, not to worry about tripping over power cords and the amps to be able to work without sacrificing other appliances. Would I rent via DelMar again, maybe. Would I come back to this property? Not at all.

    Location, close to the bike trail. Near downtown and the beaches. Although it was just my wife and myself, the house has plenty of room for a large group. Very clean and organized. Well taken care of. Would stay here again with the family
