I loved this house! It was convenient to everything we wanted to visit. We took an airboat out into the swamp to see the gators and visited Avery Island which is right door driving wise and just happened upon the fact that the town was having a literary festival over the weekend which had lots of cool talks. Added to our fun weekend! Because it was so close to Lafayette it had an Ollies and my favorite grocery store Aldi's at it including a much fancier Walmart than we have in our small-town Texas. Felt small town homey but with all the conveniences and nice places to shop! The house itself was a lovely antique home right at the end of main street. So spacious. Wound up being three ladies that stayed and it was a spacious three-bedroom home! Loved all the windows and antique inside vibe. The only minus was no dishwasher but all in all not a big deal! It is a lovely walk downtown (.7 of a mile on that street) to downtown boutique shops and restaurants. Has nice city parks! Everything is walkable and very clean! I left the car some of the time and walked downtown and back and loved seeing all the antique homes on both sides of the street.

Easy to find. A nice location, close to stores and restaurants. Anything you would need was within a 5 minute drive.

Everything, comfortable. A true Louisiana guest home. The location, the beautiful decor, on the bayou. A perfect place to visit as a family. We can't wait to come back. Beautiful trees, windows to display the beauty of the property. Original home with updates for comfort. Much gratitude.

Spacious house, but on noisy street and near train rail. Bed was very squeaky with any movement. Windows in living room were so dirty you couldn't see out.

At the fringe of presentable historical relevance. Host can refurbish various amenities without mitigating the site's heritage - this was not done.Everything was OK, but still lacking in some guest basics.

Need non-slip mats in tub/showersConnection to shower in guest bath was not tight & water was sprayingSink sponges and plastic tub to wash dishes disgustingly dirty. Minimal trash receptacles in various places in house. Front door did not lock & we found the door wide open one evening when we arrived homeVery noisy due to bike club down the street & motorcycles coming and going all hours

Me and a few girlfriends stayed at this property on a road trip through Louisiana! We got lucky and got to stay the night of the Christmas parade. The home is beautiful, with ample natural light. The beds were comfy and place was clean!

The house was very cute and spacious, it was similar to our old home. There was everything we needed for our weekend stay and everyone had their own rooms as well. Would definitely stay here again.
