Stayed Oct 17, 2024This place was great for a long weekend getaway and was a good location to pop over to Lutsen for fall activities.

Stayed Sep 6, 2024Very nice space for a large group. Three bathrooms especially made things easier. Property felt very private. Even outdoor spaces felt well-thought-out. Bedrooms have air conditioners and space heaters, to fine-tune comfort.

Stayed Jun 20, 2024Lou’s Lodge accommodated our group of 11 easily. Plenty of beds for everyone and the Queen beds were super comfortable! We at first were concerned about the loft and being a problem with sleeping with noise from below, but we were so exhausted by 10 and didn’t have an issue at all! Great stay!

Stayed Sep 16, 2023We truly enjoyed our stay in this newly built lodge in the woods outside Lutsen. It is close to the amazingly beautiful ski area, where we took the gondola. The fall foliage in mid-September is stunning! Also went about 20 miles north to Gran Marais, a quaint town that reminded us of Alaska. The rather strenuous hike to Devil’s Kettle (15 miles north of Gran Marais) was a highlight, as well as other closer trails with vistas of Lake Superior and small lakes. There’s a lot to do in the immediate area. The home seems to be a well thought out labor of love in its architecture, furnishings and amenities. Everything is so modern and chic, just as pictured. Mattresses are linens are great, as well as kitchen accommodations. The hosts are very welcoming and responsive. Would highly recommend this home for skiing or exploring the North Shore with family and friends.
