I have been to the Keys many times before and decided that this year I would stay a whole month for the first time ever. What a great month it was! We didn't have to hire guides or even rent power boats for superb fishing. Limits of nice snapper any day we wanted were available from our kayaks, with many good-sized ones caught right at our dock. We also caught and released grouper, jacks, barracuda, etc. Coupon Bight always offers somewhere to fish, even if it gets windy, as you can easily find shelter. Having our fishing literally right there where we were staying really stood out as a tremendous advantage. There is quick access to the ocean too and I think next time we will have a boat available for that. Again though, not even necessary for a wonderful fishing experience. We've also learned it is a great place for lobster diving and I think we will try that next time. This place is quieter and more secluded than anywhere we have ever stayed in the Keys. The neighborhood is wonderful. Lots of walkers and bike riders each morning. No highway noise; beautiful sunsets, stunning night skies and impressive and unique wildlife. We interacted with manatees and key deer up close and personal about every day we were there. The house was great; three bedrooms and a large porch overlooking the water. It was perfect for us. More than enough room and it was well-stocked. The internet worked perfectly, making remote work for both myself and my son a breeze. Finally, I had the pleasure meeting our hosts, Bobby and Pamela, after we left, via phone and Facebook. Great folks who were truly happy we had such a nice time at their beautiful place. Booked already for next year!
