Welcome to Longhorn Lodge! Your very own craftsman style home, built in the turn of the century and nestled in the heart of central Austin - close to UT, the Drag, Hyde Park, Downtown, Peace Park and much more. Over 100 years old, the home retains many original features, like hardwood floors and shiplap walls with updated bedrooms, bathrooms and a newly renovated kitchen. Walk to the Drag and countless restaurants, bars and shops or relax in your own backyard.

You have complete and private access to your own 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with a large open living room and dining room and over 1,600 square feet of space. The Longhorn Lodge keeps much of its original character and historic charm while incorporating many updated features, including central air & heat, stainless steel appliances and a full size washer & dryer. Enjoy the outdoors with a backyard with a patio and picnic table. Complete with fast WiFi, a 65 inch Smart HD TV, a bluetooth sound system, comfortable mattresses (1 king, 1 queen, 2 twins), high quality linens, soft new towels and all the pots, pans and cooking supplies you'll need to make this your own little oasis - kick off your boots, relax and stay a while at the unique Longhorn Lodge!

Longhorn Lodge is located right in the heart of central Austin, just a short walk to The Drag, University of Texas, Hyde Park, West Campus and Peace Park and a mile from the northern edge of downtown Austin. Lots to walk to and LESS THAN A 1/2 BLOCK to the local and lovely Wheatsville Co-op grocery store, legendary Black's BBQ, delicious Via 313 Pizza and bar, Hopfields, a french inspired gastropub and The Cheba Hut, a sub shop with a full bar and grill - all with great indoor and outdoor seating options.

Please note, while the Longhorn Lodge has lots to offer, it is an old home - doors and floors can creak, windows can shake and, at times, the bustling outside city can be heard indoors. Weekdays are relatively quiet but weekends can be lively into the night.

This is NOT a party house. The home is in a wonderful neighborhood. Our neighbors are longtime home owners, families, professors and students. We respect their privacy and, therefore, can not allow any parties or events of any kind. No bachelor or bachelorette parties or groups allowed. We also have a strict noise policy - no loud noise or outside noise or gatherings after 10:00 weeknights, 11:00 weekends.

If any of these issues concern you, please do not book. Otherwise, we welcome all respectful and well behaved guests and their families. Great news- all guests now have access to the front entrance and front porch.

    This is a very old house, and the inside is mostly renovated. The outside looks like a drug house, is next to a laundry mat and the Drag, and surrounded by a bar in the back and front on the Drag. You hear everything outside, not to mention the creaking of every floor board. We are told to park in the back yard, and not allowed to go in and out of the front door. Also not allowed to sit on the front porch. It is close to Austin, but kids will not like it.

    This is a comfortable vintage house with just the right amount of updating and Austin hip. It is on the edge of a charming neighborhood yet has all the energy of West Campus. We hope to return!
