Mount Joy, Pennsylvania
This 3-bedroom home is a great place to get away and relax or as a home base for your tour of historic Lancaster County. It is located minutes from Hershey Park, Lancaster County tourist spots and the Spooky Nook Sports complex (home of the US Women’s Field Hockey team) yet apart from all the traffic on a quiet rural street close to Siegrist Mill covered bridge.
Built on the foundation of an old grist mill, the home provides history and charm. Fall asleep to the sound of the mill race right outside your bedroom window. Spend the day watching birds from the sun porch or just enjoying life while watching the creek and its variety of wildlife from the front porch.

Beautiful location, very clean, many things to do near by! No hot tub, its a bath tub with jets, only fits one person. Over all great stay!
It's a neat log home but it needs some repairs, updating and cleaning. This is the first time we've ever stayed at a VRBO where we had to make our beds when we got there!
We stayed there with out 2 young sons for the weekend. Overall its clean, but the lights are full of cobwebs and by the tv stand there were tons of deadbugs. There was also trash under the couch. (I noticed this stuff while sitting on the floor playing with my sons.) The dryer was out of order which was frustrating after a rain soaked day at Gettyburg.
The dryer had an out of order sign. I was not notified of this. Commodes had been neglected. Coffee pot, some utensils, a pan in the oven all not clean. Cleaning containers all empty. No swiffer pads. Had to use disinfectant wipes. Owner communicated promptly. The next day sent cleaning lady over but we had already cleaned. There was obviously a difference of opinions & i felt it was not my place to handle employee matters. She told me they would come do our clothes which was not on our plans. She also suggested I could go to a laundromat or hang them over the porch rail which was also not in out plans. There are other things I could say but I think I’ve said enough. I have no issues with the communication with the owner she was very prompt in responding. I did ask for some refund on the cleaning fee. Don’t know if this will happen. The house was old & beautiful. The grounds were pretty. It was convenient to everything. I got permission from the owner to host a small gathering of family and she graciously consented. Other than the dryer and the cleaning issues, which can be fixed, I would stay there again & would recommend it to others.
Is a very cute place to stay and is quiet. But needs alittle extra cleaning. Has alot cobwebs. Very pretty place to stay. We did find that we needed to go buy some toilet tissue. Has alot of comforts though! We enjoyed our stay there though.
We had a blast staying here over the last few nights. It was very clean and quiet area. Loved the creek right across the road
Lovely location in the rolling hills of Pa. The home is rustic with modern comforts of home. Well stocked kitchen and a charming sunporch. Check-in was a breeze. Thank you Kathy!
Loved this cabin, on the site of an old mill, with the mill race still along the side. Full of history with a coverage bridge just a few minute walk up the street. Beautifully maintained landscaping and flowers. Close to Colombia Pa Thanks, we will come back again.
I stayed here Wednesday-Sunday in preparation for my wedding on Saturday. The home felt cozy and the area was beautiful. I’d highly recommend if you’re looking to step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thanks for allowing my family to stay!
Overall, our stay was very pleasant. We loved the location and the accommodations. The only drawback was there were no garbage bags, only 2 tissues in the box and we only had 1/4 roll of paper towels. We looked for extras and couldn’t find them. But would stay again and just pack extras with us.
The house is in a beautiful area, located not far from Dutch Apple dinner theatre. Convenient within a short distance to a lot of the Amish locations. If you are looking for a short term get a way this is the perfect place.
Such a beautiful place to stay. Sweet decor inside and out!
We attended an event at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex. The home was very convenient and comfortable. Made the trip very enjoyable.
It was excellent the owner I was able to talk to and a very good experience. Thank you.
Beautiful log cabin surrounded by tons of history... So nice to break away from all the hustle.... Daughter had an event at spooky nook . It's just a short drive to the complex.... Lancaster is very close for the shoppers. Thank you so much we absolutely will be back
Very quiet, beautiful atmosphere. Wish the washer/dryer worked, but other than that, really enjoyed our stay.
Such a special place.
At the top step when you step up onto the porch is a small lip that hangs over the porch and my husband fell onto the porch. The top of his shoe caught the lip of the porch and he fell. You might need to put a sign there to watch your step.
Overall great experience to really get a lancaster county feel. Property is as advertised. Really good communication with the owner of the property and very smooth arrival. Would recommend bringing own pillows, but other than that everything was as needed.
Comfortable beds and cozy living spaces. We arrived late and no outdoor light was on so had a hard time figuring out the door lock system. We were ready to turn in but found we had to make up our own beds! Mattress pads and pillows need replaced. Enjoyed the sun porch and the ability to make our own breakfast in the quaint kitchen.
Clean, comfortable house. Property manager answers questions quickly. Within hours drive of Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster and Gettysburg. Only an hour and a half to Philly. Would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful stay at this quiet cabin, it's just what we needed. Highly recommend.
From the first moment we pulled up to the home we were very please with the property. What the pictures don't show is the scenery looking out from the property. The landscape across the way is so pretty and there is farm land around the property. The house was so clean and comfortable and had a lot of family history. We went to the Lancaster Barnstormers game and Hershey park the following day. The house was close to both. Wish we could've stayed longer. Thanks so much!
This is a great old Log cabin, location was really convenient to a lot of the things we were interested in. The only down fall and that wasn’t horrible was beds were either really soft or real firm but we slept well so all is well. Loved this experience
Had a peaceful week with family enjoying the animals and peace and quiet cabin was very nice and clean. Loved the decor in the cabin and history around the area. Would go back.
Nice and affordable place to stay for a family of six. Hershey park is only 30 minutes away. We also enjoyed the Turkey Hill Experience just 10 minutes away. It was a nice place to come back to after a day of family fun.
Excellent value. Ant infestation was not cool with my girls.
