Our Vacation Home is nestled between the Mountains and the Sea in the Heart of Acadia National Park. Walk to local trails that lead to the the rocky coast. Beaches and carriage roads just a few minutes away!
Experience grand views of Cadillac, Door, Champlain and Gorham Mountains from your 'base camp'.
Our home was built and designed to accommodate family vacations. An open floor plan allows for comfort and ease of conversation between kitchen, dining and living areas. Pleasant mountain views are visible through the large windows in the dining and living areas. We added plenty of bedrooms to provide privacy from the rest of the house.
Beds are furnished with high quality LL Bean linens to ensure the most comfortable nights rest. Professional photographs of local scenes adorn the walls. Two full bathrooms have LL Bean towels and shower curtains. The deck is made of Western Red cedar and looks out to the mountains and fields. Deer are seen here frequently. Our home reflects simple Maine Home Design which will add to your total Maine Experience.
Walk to Cadillac Mountain South Ridge Trail 5 minutes from house. Reach The park Loop Road and Otter Cliffs/Sand Beach/Gorham Mt and Otter Cove from a local trail or through the Blackwoods road. A great value for those wanting efficient Acadia accessability.

Location was easy to access but set far back enough from the road that you didn't notice the cars going by. My son loved the playground we could walk to in under a minute, and the toddler toys in the back yard. Clean and comfortable. Easy 10 minute drive to Bar Harbor. Hope to stay here again soon!
Clean, convenient, and pleasant place to stay, near some of Acadia's best spots (Thunder Hole, Seal Harbor, various gardens). Two doors down from a nice playground (great for the under 5 crowd) and directly across a convenient market that serves lobster dinners. What more could you ask for?
Great
We had a lovely stay with all the amenities and space for a family group with multiple young children. Being so close to the Acadia Park Loop road, Island Explorer bus stop and a quick drive into Bar Harbor made our week easier and more flexible with time. Lots of great space for the kids and everyone to enjoy! Thank you so much.
Great location. We were close to trailheads and store across the street was a plus. We will be back!
Property was as described.....and fairly close to Bar Harbor...would stay here again.
The location of the property is amazing. Next to the otter creek general store, 3 miles from seal harbor beach, which is amazing at low tide! Bar harbor center is just 10-15 minutes down the road. Also close to trail heads as well. Unfortunately there is a lot left to be desired in the house itself. It is well equipped with all the kitchen essentials, but everything is dated and well used, and it is almost impossible to cook on the pans. The oven, stove and toaster are super power and took awhile to get used to, not a problem there. The grill is falling apart, the covers for the burners are absolutely destroyed, there is rust everywhere. We love to grill, so that was a huge disappointment. If you are planning on getting a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed, you won’t get it here. The beds are really terrible, the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, as well as everyone else in the house. The pull out couches are disgusting, stained mattresses, no cushion, smelled of moth balls. The furniture is all dated and stained and need to be replaced. We did spend a decent amount of time in the house because of the weather, if it was nicer out we wouldn’t have been there much due to being uncomfortable, even sitting on the couches. There was also a section of dvds and vhs but no way to watch them, and most of the games left didn’t have the full game pieces. Overall it was a good stay, really needs updating and it would be spectacular.
Great location. Quiet neighborhood. Nice property.
Check out process was easy. Great location. Good amenities. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Had a great time with extended family of11 members
Easy to find and check in, it was clean and roomy, backyard is large and has beautiful wildflowers. Location was convenient but also private, 15 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor and easy access to Acadia and trails.
This house has amazing views of the mountains and the trail heads are a short walk away. The living room is perfect to hang out in after a long day outside and the yard is big enough to set up games like corn hole. It was a great place to stay, rooms were comfortable and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed.
Thank you for a clean and charming place for our family to stay in Sept 2021. Referring a friend to stay as well :)
