Beautiful home located within minutes of downtown Reno. It was exactly as described-Sean 2025

Built in 1925, this beautiful property was designed by Frederic Joseph DeLongchamps, one of the most prolific architects of the southwest. The unique architecture and vintage charm will make you feel like you’ve taken a step back in time. Its historic appeal, unique history, great amenities, and amazing location make this spacious home the perfect Reno getaway.

With five bedrooms and two baths, this newly remodeled house offers more than enough room to spread out and relax. Inviting touches can be found throughout the entire home, but are especially prevalent in the open and inviting living room. You’ll love spending time in this charming room, which features a beautiful stone fireplace, tasteful decor, comfortable furniture, and original exposed beams. These beams were extracted from the Virginia City silver mines and are a true piece of American history built right into the home.

The dining room, which opens to the living area, provides gorgeous overhead lighting and a large, stylish dining table. Spend your evenings playing board games or enjoy a delicious dinner in this spacious, elegant room.

The bright and open kitchen provides everything you’ll need to whip up a tasty meal. With brand new appliances, beautiful cabinetry and new fixtures, you’ll enjoy cooking together in this charming space.

Each of the five bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have an updated 1920’s vibe. Two primary bedrooms feature comfortable beds and lovely decor. The other three bedrooms also offer an amazing place to wake up in the morning, with comfortable beds and an inviting feel. Both bathrooms are conveniently located. The upstairs bathroom features a tub/ shower combination and the downstairs bathroom provides a shower. A laundry room with a washer and dryer are available for your convenience.

The interior of the home is beautiful, but the exterior easily rivals its charm. The inviting backyard is completely fenced in so you can enjoy games or relaxing with the entire family. Keep everyone entertained with the horseshoe pit and firepit. Revel in the lush landscape, pergola, cafe lights. Sit down and unwind at dinner outside at the custom farm table and benches.

The cottage-style home looks like something out of a fairy tale. The beautiful stonework, exposed beams, and vintage windows are one-of-a-kind. The lush vines climbing the side of the home add to the appeal.

Though you’ll love this property itself, you might love the location even more. Nestled in a peaceful neighborhood, but with amazingly easy access to downtown Reno and the University of Nevada, The Stone House offers the best of both worlds. Enjoy city views through the windows while also being just steps away from beautiful Whitaker Park, which features BBQ grills, picnic areas, tennis courts, and playgrounds for the kids. You’ll also be near a variety of restaurants, casinos, museums, golf courses, gardens, malls, hiking trails, and other attractions. Located next to several major freeways, enjoy easy access to Lake Tahoe, ski resorts, and Virginia City. Whether staying in Reno for work and play, you’ll love being close to it all.

We rented the Stone house for a convention so we could avoid the casinos downtown and were very happy with our stay. It's a quiet neighborhood and the house itself was very comfortable. Plenty of room for 4 of us to relax, get work done, and hang out at the end of each day. Comfortable beds. We didn't get to use the outdoor space but it looked great!

The house accommodated our family perfectly & the location was ideal for our activities at UNR & the convention center. The reason for our rating of 4 stars is the kitchen is not very functional & the upstairs tub/shower needs updating.

Our family and friends enjoyed our stay at the Stone House for 3 nights during our daughter's college graduation. The house accomodated us all comfortably and we had had enough room to eat and relax as a group. Communication with the owner was excellent and appreciated. Highly recommend this property for a larger group.

Very cool historic house with a great back yard. Large and comfortable living area. Newly updated. Back yard is great for hanging out. Minor issue noted on checkin was quickly addressed by owner and local manager. If you are not familiar with Reno, it is located near the university and on the same street as some university housing. Although a somewhat busy street, it was overall quiet in the house, except for a few hours of music from across the street one night. We always had space in front of the house for our cars to park on the street.

This is a historic home built in the 1920s and the house itself is fantastic. There are nice entertaining areas both outside and in the family room. The upstairs bathroom is roomy, the downstairs one a little small, but useable. The bedrooms were well situated and all were well appointed and comfortable. The outside area with the massive picnic table, grill, fire pit, and games were great! The kitchen is small but useable, although there were not many pots and pans - we bought a couple to use and left them for the next guests. Overall, we loved staying here, other than the one oddity to me - it's very clear in the listing that quiet hours are 8 pm - 9 am, so we assumed it was in a quiet neighborhood. Imagine our surprise to arrive and find that it was in the middle of a number of fraternity houses. Our stay was over a weekend, and on Saturday night one of our rental cars was egged and there were parties everywhere. It's not unexpected behavior for college students and good on them for enjoying life! But I wish we had been better informed about the location. Overall, the house was fantastic, and we would likely stay here again over the summer, but I don't know that we would repeat the experience during the school year over a weekend. We only had to call the property manager once at the very beginning of the stay and they were easily accessible and solved the issue immediately (the alarm was set and we did not have the access code).

We came for the Hot August nights car show. Great proximity to downtown. Clean comfortable. The parking in front is perfect for truck trailer & extra car. Thanks so much.
