The home was as pictured and described. The bed was relatively comfortable, though I prefer a firmer mattress. I really liked the sitting room to the rear of the home. The living room was comfortable and had plenty of seating for relaxing. And though we did not cook while we were there, the kitchen was well stocked for those who chose to do so. There were several cafes and a bakery in walking distance as well. There was plenty of parking on the street, just be mindful not to leave anything in the car. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to sleep in the room on the lower level, as you can hear outside noise from foot traffic in the alley adjacent to the home from the other rooms.

This is a delightful place to stay. It is a very comfortable and cozy house to stay at. The beds and pillows were excellent, the heating/cooling unit worked well, and it was a very well stocked kitchen. It is a roomy 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in a very walkable neighborhood. The best part might be having Sweet Life Patisserie just a block down the alley.

Great house for a weekend for four adults. Only bummer was there was not cable or Roku for the front room TV so we had to go to a bar to watch any sports games.

Bring your noise canceling headphones as the “quiet urban oasis” the owner describes is false, you’re not getting any meditating done here. Instead, you’ll be lulled to sleep by the sounds of loud modified car exhausts and trains sounding their horns throughout the night. The front window lends a great view to all the activities that a downtown location has to offer, especially once the sunsets. My teens and I witnessed drugs being dealt out of the car in front of the house throughout the day. However, once we saw weapons being shown and exchanged, we decided it was time to leave. We left in such a rush we forgot a couple items. The owner promised to mail them and never did. Leaving a day early also cost us attending the Eugene Marathon the next day which took months to train for and was the only reason we were visiting the city. The actual home is very clean and quaint, especially if you can appreciate a vintage decor.

Honestly, the house was great and location was good. However, we had people in front on side walks and going down the alley at all hours of day and night. You would hear voices at 3 in the morning and sounded like they were in back yard but was the alley.

The owner was very speedy with communication pre stay and answered all my questions. The accommodations were more than expected , very comfortable with everything you can possibly need. Close to good restaurants. The immediate neighborhood is littered and there are many questionable people walking around at night. It is very sad. The rental property is delightful and outshines the riff raft.I hope to utilize this rental again for my next stay. It felt like home away from home.

Great House. Great Host. You can tell much thought and effort has been put into making this property special. Loaded with everything you will need to have a comfortable stay. Lots of great restaurants close as a 3min walk. And there lies the problem. This area is full of the homeless. People living in tents and vehicles right next to property. Garbage everywhere. The walks for food were scary. We were harrased everytime we left the house. Theres a constant threat to personal and property safety by the nonstop parade of vagrants around the house/cars all day and night. At checkin we were informed not to leave ANYTHING in our cars. For good reason, i found out. My heart goes out to the owner. It is a very difficult situation. If this house was located elsewhere i would rent it again. However when i do return to stay in Eugene it will be in a nice hotel. In a different part of town.Take what you want from my review. The tax paying residents of Eugene should be ashamed and embarrased by what that town has become.

We stayed here for four nights. The house is so homey and amazing. My kids loved the board games. We had a friend over and had dinner at the amazing kitchen table. The couches and beds are all exceptionally comfortable. Everything is well stocked. The owner is great at communicating. The neighborhood is pretty typical Eugene. So it can seem a bit alarming but the location to everything is astounding. Sweet life bakery is right around the corner and has the most amazing dessert. Overall we loved our stay. There are homeless around but we have found that in any populated area in Oregon, Washington, and California. Communication with the host was excellent. Great value for the price.
