LOCATION!! Lake Travis Waterfront~Pool, Spa, Outdoor Kitchen, Location

This property has charm and potential, but several significant issues prevented our stay from matching what was advertised.On the positive side, the home offers decent lake views, although it is located directly behind a large commercial boat dock. The main house and casita are charming, and the property was well stocked with towels, cooking utensils, and cookware, which we appreciated.Unfortunately, multiple core amenities that influenced our booking were not usable during our stay. The pool and hot tub were not operational and were in very poor condition, with heavy debris, dirt, leaves, and visible layers of powdered chlorine/shock. These amenities were a primary reason we chose this property, and they were never cleaned or repaired despite communication with the host.In addition, the internet and cable TV were completely unavailable for approximately 24 hours, which significantly impacted our stay. We booked this property specifically to enjoy the location, relax by the pool and hot tub, and watch the New Year’s Eve ball drop and college football on New Year’s Day, none of which was possible due to the outages.The outdoor areas were not maintained, with piles of leaves throughout the sitting areas and spiders and spider webs covering all outdoor furniture. Several wooden fences were broken, and inside the house there were noticeable maintenance issues, including unplugged upstairs TVs with no extension cords, non-functioning light switches, missing bulbs, and flic

This house was perfect for my bachelorette weekend. The perfect amount of space and such a cozy home. It was so nice to be right on the lake and have the pool. We were able to walk to the marina since we rented a boat for a day. Jackie was so responsive whenever I had to contact her, which was only once!

I booked the place for 12 people for my sister’s bachelorette, and we had a blast! The space was easy to occupy, it was fun and cute, and the marina for our boat rental was a walk away!

This is a great house for a lake getaway with family and friends.

We had an absolutely phenomenal time at The Cottage! Photos don’t do the property justice — it’s truly a dream. We appreciated how well appointed the home was and were incredibly grateful for the hosts flexibility with check-in/ check-out times. The house is just next to the marina, which makes a boat day on Lake Travis a breeze! Highly recommend The Cottage and hope to visit again soon!

This is the absolute best location I’ve ever stayed at on Lake Travis. The house was absolutely darling. We went with a group of girlfriends for a birthday and it could not have been more perfect. The pool in the outdoor kitchen is incredible. There was a separate cottage. The bunk room was a perfect!. I have nothing negative to say about this house and I cannot wait to go back.

We enjoyed our two-night stay at this lake house. We also booked a boat for the day that left from the Paradise Cove Marina which we could walk to, so the location is convenient if you're looking to get out on a boat. The owner responded quickly to any questions post-check-in, which I appreciated. The only negative is that if you're sleeping in the casita, there was a pretty constant sound (day and night) that sounded like a mechanical squeal. It could be a one-off thing, but it was happening at all hours. I would stay again, but ask if that sound had been resolved. The house was cute and clean and great for a group of 8 - 11 people who are looking for a lake retreat!

This is the 2nd time we stay and the cottage . Lovely property , clean and well maintained . Jackie the property manager was so helpful and professional and collaborative.

We stayed here August 31, 2024. Location was pretty easy to get to, the house is beautiful, and there was plenty of space for 14 of us. The host was QUICK to respond to any questions and was highly accommodating and understanding. We stayed 2 nights and it was so much fun. The space really helped make the weekend memorable. Along with the beautiful charm of this older home, the convenience of Paradise Cove Marina being within walking distance, made our stay perfect.

Very refreshing to stay here! Loved the pool and the backyard, although no swing was a let down. The listing does state that some things may be changed from the photos and several things we different, like the cute decor outside was not there so that was a little disappointing. Love the views from the upstairs bedrooms. The stairs to the upstairs are STEEP and further apart than normal stairs so it was a challenge for some in our group to get up and down. The gate the exit the property did not work. The sprinklers are the front of the property ran the entire duration of our stay which was hitting the exit keypad, so not sure if that interfered, but one in party had to jump the fence to open the gate- memories! Despite how busy the beach got behind the house, you couldn't hear anything inside the house which was nice. The back patio/enclosed area was delightful! The houses (main and cabin) had everything you could need. There were a few dead bugs so picking up dead roaches upon arrival is not the most welcoming site, but overall would stay here again.

After our annual family trip to Galveston was canceled due to Hurricane Beryl, we decided we needed to find a place where all 13 of us could gather to have a little fun in the sun, and a little relaxation. We searched VRBO for a place with a pool and found this gem! The title says it all: LOCATION! Our stay was from Sunday - Thursday, and we pretty much had the entire area to ourselves! It was very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage, which was built in the 1940s, was updated, but still maintained all its charm. We had everything we needed (HEB delivered groceries) and we pretty much just stayed in the pool and spa the entire time! We didn’t have any major issues, but any time we reached out to Meika, she responded quickly and was extremely helpful.
