Location! Heated Saltwater Pool, Ping Pong, Elevator, Close to Beach

We booked this property with high expectations, especially since we paid extra for the listing that promised amenities like a hot tub and heated pool. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what was advertised.When we arrived, there was no hot tub at the property, despite it being listed in the description and the reason we paid a higher rate. When we called to complain, the management was unaware the hot tub was missing, and they refused to offer any compensation or even an apology. Additionally, the pool was listed as heated, but it was ice cold, and even after complaining, it was still not warm enough for our kids to enjoy. We called multiple times for this and never received a call back. The issues didn’t stop there. Items shown in the listing photos, which we confirmed would be available before our arrival, were missing. The grill was unusable, filthy, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The upstairs bathtub was clogged, and the jacuzzi tub downstairs had non-working jets. The oven took twice as long as expected to preheat and cook food properly.When we reached out to customer service to resolve these issues, the communication was frustrating. We were promised callbacks that never came, and no one took responsibility for the problems.While we appreciated the location of the property, the lack of accountability, poor communication, and blatant misrepresentation by by the host and management company made this a trip we would prefer to forget.

Went for daughters senior spring break. Had all the amenities the girls could want. Pool was great, location was perfect. Loved the inside beach decor!!

Great neighborhood, clean and quiet. Would recommend for those who want to stay near airport and still have some activities to do around the area

Beautiful property, very roomy, pool was amazing and so warm! Great location. Could bet anywhere quick. Property was stunning. The only thing is we were missing some of the basic essentials (garbage bags dish detergent shampoo etc.)

There was mold everywhere in bathrooms, kitchen, dishwasher…. Bathrooms are extremely out dated. Location is prime just needs some updates. Mahalo

The home is beautiful and the pool area is excellent.

This is our second stay in this condo and we are planning to book it again. Need I say more?

We loved our stay at The Whaler. The description accurately matched the property. The check in process was seamless and the complex was beautifully maintained. We absolutely loved that it is just a short walk to most everything, restaurants, Whalers Village. Black Rock, etc. I really wouldn’t have wanted to stay at any other location. I did want to address some other reviews about bugs and cleanliness. I was concerned after reading these reviews and contacted the property manager, who assured me that everything has been addressed. And I can say that we did not see one bug in the property the entire time we were there. The carpets were also mentioned in previous reviews and they appear to have been replaced. There is some wear/dirt on the trim/door in master bathroom, but I’m sure that happens with renting it out. Overall I wouldn’t change a thing about our stay and am so grateful to have experienced this beautiful island with my family. If we ever get the chance to come back, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Property was not clean. And needs to be ypdated

Facility was horrible cockroach infested. Everything was outdated. The plugs were so old you couldn’t charge your iPhone. And the toilet seat was loose in one of the bathrooms. The place needs a facelift and a paint job The only good news is I got my money back.

Perfect place for a family of 4. Ground level corner unit allowed easy in and out for the kids. Everything was kept up nice except the bathrooms. They both could use some updating and the toilet seat wasn’t on very well. The main bathroom had a funky odor which was unpleasant. Nice to have a washer and dryer.

We have stayed at the Whaler several times, and this was our first time staying at this condo. The owners were very prompt in responding to me, which I really appreciated. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed the ease of being on the ground floor. The only downside to this location is there is a lot of foot traffic and not a lot of privacy. This condo does have just about everything you might need except for beach chairs and an umbrella. Now, the Whaler does provide complimentary chairs, but you need to get there early as everyone gets chairs and leaves them on the beach with towels until they are ready to use them. This was frustrating and I just want to give future vacationers this info. This does not reflect on the owners, but it would be nice if they would provide at least a couple of chairs. The interior of the condo is nice but could use some updating specifically in the bathrooms. With that being said, we enjoyed our stay at this condo, and we would definitely stay again here. The Whaler is right on the beach and next to the Whalers Village, which has shopping and dining etc.

The location and size of unit excellent. Loved the patio and garden area. The second bathroom needs some fixing and the sliding doors to the outside are quite heavy and hard to move; everything else we enjoyed!

My family enjoyed our stay at the Whaler. The unit is in a perfect location with easy and quick access to the beach and pool. The unit has lots of space and had everything that we would need to make our stay comfortable. We are already making plans for another trip to Kaanapali and would definitely stay at the Whaler again!

Wondering vacation. This place was amazing. So much more than what I expected. The grounds were immaculate and Whaler’s Village next door was an added plus. We are already planning our next vacation and would love to stay in the same place. ❤️❤️

Fantastic location situated close to Whalers Village, Black Rock, the walking path and of course the beach. The pool was perfect for the days you couldn't get in the ocean because of the waves.

Beautiful location-can’t beat the whaler! Nice furniture, love the artwork and working AC! I hate to say this, but everything BUT those things needs to be replaced, remodeled, updated or cleaned. Carpets were fine, but the nails are poking thru. They did have a pack n play and high chair available-VERY CONVENIENT! The space of the condo was so comfortable for 4 people. The property manager was very responsive; however my issues weren’t a quick fix…primary bath toilet seat isn’t fully screwed on. Primary bathtub can’t hold water because the drain plug lever literally fully rusted off in hands when I was trying to bathe my two kids. In the guest bath, there is a bath shower wand. The part that holds the shower wand up, is falling off on the top AND the bottom…so it’s a total danger to the user-my young kids! The kitchen had pots and pans that were totally scraped up. FULLY FUNCTIONING ICE MAKER! The dishwasher is slowly rusting away. Most of the glasses needed to be washed before use because there were chunks of food still stuck inside of them…and this part. There were small roaches on the kitchen counters after 10pm. I only saw that when I was up late maybe 5 or 6 nights into our stay. It made it so uncomfortable to use the kitchen after that. We were so diligent about taking garbage out every night and keeping food locked away in the fridge. Teeny tiny ants were on kitchen counter 24/7. This condo has the potential to be amazing! Just know what you are buying into.
