We had a wonderful stay overall. The home was clean, well-equipped, and in a great location. Communication was easy, and everything worked as expected.The only downside for us was the bedding. The queen beds were quite soft, and the pillows looked fluffy but compressed almost completely flat once you put your head on them. Unfortunately, we didn’t sleep well during our 4-night stay because of this. We woke up with backaches every morning. I even had to place an extra pillow under my entire back to get a little more support, which helped only slightly.Our friends mentioned that the twin beds were quite firm, but they still preferred them over the very soft queen beds. We think the mattresses and pillows could benefit from an upgrade, as improving the sleeping experience would make an otherwise excellent property even better.Other than the bed and pillow comfort, everything else was excellent, and we really enjoyed our time here.

TLDR: cramped, overpriced, not luxury. Why put luxury in the title of a property? Luxury is the state of great comfort, elegance, and indulgence, characterized by things that are desirable and costly but not absolutely necessary. This vacation home has some nice attributes, but not much I would consider luxury, other than the price per night. The home is well-built and in a good location. That alone might bring a price premium. Ten or fifteen years ago, this place would be a gem. Today, it is beginning to show its age. The listing could benefit from a floorplan. The biggest thing you need to know is that the house is cramped. Every door opens into a space you need to be in. The front door opens into where you would be in to use the door. Have more than one person in your group? Get ready for single-file, staggered traffic. Want to get into the upstairs shower? Back up into the toilet & watch your head. My wife and aren't large humans and we could navigate these quirks. I'm sure other people would struggle.Want to sit down and have a back to your chair? Your only option is the couch & day bed. The kitchen island is the kitchen table and it has three stools. Sorry fourth person, you are standing.There are many notes taped to doors, drawers, walls, light switches with all the do's and don't. The coffee makers are knock-offs, no creamer provided. There are no tissues to blow your nose. The bed is painfully firm. Plus you pay a 1500 waiver! Luxury? I think not.

Great little Carriage House, just steps from downtown Crested Butte…..just a block from shops, restaurants, coffee and brewery! Amazing mountain views from the upstairs living area, perfect space for my husband and myself and our 3 year old Labrador. Sitting on the chaise lounge every morning with coffee looking out at the mountains Very clean, bed was very comfortable with nice bedding. Stocked kitchen, towels, paper products Would definitely stay again

We enjoyed this stay, house was clean and well stocked. Perfect location to the mountain shuttle. Steam shower was an extra bonus. Very comfortable for our family of 3.

This small cottage is in an excellent location in downtown Crested Butte. It is nicely furnished and just a few blocks walk to shops and restaurants. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable and we loved the steam shower!

Paula's house is adorable and a perfect fit for a getaway. We enjoyed being so close to all the food, trails, shops and loved the breathtaking views from the house. Additionally, the house had amazing amenities with washer/dryer, snacks and household items readily available for us. We hope to be back soon!

Location - IDEAL! So close to ski bus, easy walk to everything in town.Host - Spot On! Communication was timely, accurate and plentiful. There are helpful notes posted around the house too. Accommodations - Felt like home! The cozy carriage home had everything we needed; the bedding was super comfortable and everything we used worked with no issues. The home is decorated beautifully! While it was a little smaller in size than would have been ideal , the hosts did an amazing job providing all amenities and once we settled in,we forgot how close the quarters were. Thank you and we hope to return!

This place worked out perfectly. A short walk to downtown Crested Butte and even shorter walk to the free shuttle to the mountain. This place has the most well-stocked kitchen of an vacation rental we've stayed at, it was great. And the host was great as well, very responsive and helpful.

My family had a wonderful time staying in the carriage house. The property was very inviting, clean and had everything we wanted. The location is just a few blocks from downtown and all restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend this property for those looking for a relaxing place to stay.

This property was a true gem. My husband and I and one of our adult daughters spent 5 days here and loved every minute. The house was the perfect size for us and very clean with great kitchen amenities. The location, 3 blocks from town and one block from the bus stop to the mountain, is ideal. There are also plenty of hiking trails just a short walk from the property. We would definitely stay here again!
