Little Yellow House in Ferndale! Quiet, Cozy 3BR

We’ve stayed many times and hope to keep doing that. Love the little yellow house!

It was the perfect home for a quick family getaway. Easy to get to the zoo, restaurants, and downtown Detroit. We really enjoyed our stay!

Would stay here again!

Great home!!

The property(LYH) was beautiful! Our communication with our host was great and they answered all our questions. Staying at LYH was pretty much like being at home. The home has been renovated and looks quite fresh and new. Checking in and out was easy and every amenity was provided. They had even shoveled for us. The outside was as nice as the inside and has a great space for you and your pets. On our visit, one of the best features was the great heating, since it was quite cold and snowy while we were there. The property is close to everything in Ferndale, close to the Detroit Zoo and the Royal Oak community. The neighboorhood is quiet and easy to navigate.We really enjoyed our visit and will be staying again.

We appreciated the clear communication and found the property to be clean and well kept. A few things to note for future guests: the downstairs living area could benefit from additional adult friendly seating and tables as currently there’s just one TV with a small couch, small round end tables, and a few bean bags. We also didn’t see any kitchen towels and noticed the sponges under the sink were older.Check out was at 11am, and we were contacted twice regarding our departure time due to a quick turnover, which made us feel a bit rushed. We didn’t reach out during our stay because we were busy and the listing noted the owners live nearby and are very responsive so to be fair, some of these items may have been resolved quickly if we had asked.Overall, a nice stay with good communication, just sharing this feedback in hopes it’s helpful for future guests.

Excellent home! We really enjoyed our time together here. All the comforts of home!! Very clean and warm! Perfect location, nice neighborhood and yard was a plus! The only thing we would have loved is a TV upstairs.

Stayed for a long weekend. This home is very clean and well maintained. Has everything you might need plus a nice little backyard area. The location is great if you're visiting Ferndale or areas of the city. The hosts are the best. Very communicative and helpful. Highly recommended.

The house was very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to do. The owners were also very responsive. The power was out when we first arrived, due to no fault of them, but they refunded us for the first night. We highly recommend staying here.

This house was perfect for a getaway to Detroit. Conveniently located to shop and eat in downtown Ferndale, while close enough to easily get into Detroit. House was clean with great amenities! Would stay here again!

I won’t lie, I have stayed a lot of places that were disappointing. This place knocked it out of the park for our needs! I had a 15 month old who had a place to play and run around safely. Netflix available with the touch of a button, to distract her with Ms. Rachel as I set up the space! There were toys and other baby things available! It even had small touches like a fan and a sound machine! All things for us to feel like we were home. It was very clean and I well taken care of! The host was very responsive! Overall 10/10!

Walking distance to all the sights in Ferndale, but far enough from the main streets to keep things quiet at night. The space was cozy, small but had everything I needed to make my trip a success. Liz and Zach were great hosts and communicated the perfect amount.

A friend of mine for over 40 years and I took a weekend together in Detroit for my birthday - this house was perfect. Exactly as listed, but with more charm. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to some great shops and food, comfortable, well appointed, and immaculately clean. One of those places you just wish you had some more time to just hang, and dive into the well stocked library. Great internet, appliances, washer/dryer - thanks for the perfect getaway.

Cozy and quiet as advertised. Everyone slept well and really enjoyed Ferndale and Royal Oak. Would definitely stay again when in the Detroit area.

Everything was exactly what I had hoped for, and even nicer tbh. The hosts were great and the house is so cute and clean. The neighborhood is awesome as well. Will definitely stay there again next time I come to Detroit/Ferndale.

Home was beautiful and I felt safe

It was just me me, and whoa, this place is deceptively large once you notice the downstairs, which I didn't even use. Ran into a little random thing which the hosts were super-helpful and responsive with.I didn't cook there, can't comment on kitchen readiness for that.HIghly recommended as a home base- You can walk to everything you absolutely need and then you're going to have to drive everywhere else (because Detroit) and it's centrally located.

Our stay at the house was perfect! The house is adorable, super clean, and has so many thoughtful amenities. It felt like a home away from home! The beds are very comfortable, and the location of the house is quiet. It was very peaceful. The fully-fenced backyard is cute and fun to hangout in.The hosts are so responsive and super friendly! Overall, one of the best VRBO experiences we have had and I sincerely mean that!

We so enjoyed our stay in the Little Yellow House. The location was perfect for walkers like us. It was beautifully decorated and had a well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the coffee & tea! The Smart TV was easy to use and full of good options. There is a cute backyard too. Overall a terrific choice and we hope to return for another stay in the future.

Second time I stayed there. Each time was a great experience.

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights while he attended an athletic camp at a local university. We were a 5 minute drive from the university and 5 minute walk to the lovely center of Ferndale. Perfect location. Easy access to all types of stores, great restaurants and easy access to highways to get back to the airport or a quick trip downtown. 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a large bed and TV room In the basement. Everything was clean and very accommodating. I really appreciated the responsiveness of Liz and Zach although we never had any troubles or extra needs. I highly recommend the location.

Very clean. Nice little neighborhood & very safe. Lots of pedestrians out walking. My teenager loved the basement
