Stayed Dec 28, 2025We had a wonderful stay at the Trade Winds home. We are a group of 3 sisters and their families with kids ranging from 6-15 years old. The house is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. The on-site manager and home owner made everything easy and simple. We were an easy walk down the beach from Blue Island Divers and several local restaurants and that was also a plus. We’d definitely return and want to get back to Roatan soon!

Stayed Dec 23, 2023We had a great stay at TradeWinds in Roatan. It was the perfect home for our large two family group of 11. Five bedrooms all with in suite bathrooms. Beautiful home, great decks, infinity soaking pool, BBQ, and amazing views of the jungle and ocean. Located right across the street from Sandy Bay at Lawson Rock this home shares a private dock that is a three minute walk away. There you can swim, snorkel, enjoy the sunset, or have your dive boat pick you up. Community pool is only a one minute walk. Also loved the amazing Deli one minutes walk away. Perfect for breakfast, lunch or brunch.

Stayed Aug 10, 2023Overall, my group of 13 really enjoyed our stay at this property. Michael was very easy to communicate with and put us in touch with a driver to accommodate our large group. The rooms were overall clean and each had their own AC unit and bathroom which was great! The theater room was great place to unwind after a long beach day. Lots of pool towels are provided as well. There's a beach club about a 20 minute walk away from the property as the beach close to the home isn't very clean, lots of algae. There were a few things that lead me to leave a four star rating instead of five, there's no AC in the main kitchen and dining areas. I understand this is island living but that made us all avoid that beautiful space because of the crazy heat. The pool does not have a great filtration system. We used it once on the first day and never again because of how dirty it got. Lastly, the bedroom doors have a funny lock mechanism which could lock you out of the bedroom which I imagine could be very scary if you have small children. I had an issue with one of the door locks but Michael was able to assist promptly with recommended actions and sort it out. The host does provide very clear instructions on this locking issue prior to check in but in my case it happened on accident by swiping by it. Our group believes changing the bedroom lock systems and fixing the AC units in the main kitchen/dining areas would ensure a perfect stay.

Stayed Mar 9, 2023We had a fantastic experience dealing with Michael and enjoying his beautiful home. Michael quickly answered all of my many questions and had great suggestions about restaurants and experiences and even gave us the name of a safe driver to use while we were there. He definitely went above and beyond as a host. The location is beautiful and the house is very well appointed, from decor to all the essentials one would need on vacation. The kitchen was well stocked and we had no complaints whatsoever. We spent a lot of time enjoying the pool, eating, playing games and relaxing under the spacious outdoor deck. There is a larger community pool which is a short 30 second walk away that we used a few times and we never saw anyone else there so it felt like our own private pool. The beach was lovely and we spent a lot of time walking and exploring (be sure to wear bug spray because there are LOTS of sand fleas!). Snorkeling and watching the sunset at the dock were also favourite past times. We felt extremely safe and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Trade Winds to anyone travelling to Roatan!

Stayed Dec 29, 2022My family and our friends, 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 12 and 10) just stayed at this property for our first visit to Roatan and we loved it. The owner was quick to respond to any questions and had wonderful suggestions. The property was gorgeous and extremely comfortable and clean. The layout of the home was perfect for us. The kids LOVED the bunk room and we all loved ending our fun day in the sun with a movie in the media room. The neighborhood is beautiful and if you choose to take a hike through it you just might meet some of the local residents who are extremely kind and full of information. The local deli/store by the beach has amazing breakfast and the best ice coffee I have ever had. And for an island and small deli the wine selection was much better than anticipated. The location of the home is great. You are in a quiet area of the island but just a quick drive to West End, West Bay or French Cay. It doesn't take much time to get around. Plus, you are just a 5-10 minute walk from a fun restaurant named Coconuts. The beach is pretty but you can only enter the water from the dock. There is a lot of sea grass which you are unable to step on because the sea grass is extremely important to the health of the reefs. But if you go to the dock and swim about 10-20 yards west you can snorkel around some great reefs. As a bonus the dock is a beautiful place to experience a sunset and sip on a sundowner. The people of Roatan are extremely kind and welcoming. We felt at home right away. It was wonderful to run into some of the same people peoridically throughout our trip. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this home.
