Stayed Jun 1, 2024A lovely house with amazing pool and bbq area. Owners were lovely and made us very welcome (also very aware its your holiday so, despite being on site in a seperate property were very discreet). Area is perfect for visits to Sarlat, Domme etc but remote enough to feel relaxed in nature

Stayed May 25, 2024A lovely property in a beautiful, peaceful location. Well-equipped, lots of space and the outdoor kitchen and pool area are great. Owners are very welcoming and discreet, but on hand if you need them. Well-located for exploring the region, without being in the middle of the busy tourist spots.

Stayed Aug 28, 2023The Gite is gorgeous. Spacious ,very comfortable ,well equipped with all the modern conveniences and exquisitely furnished. The pool and adjacent outdoor dining area ( separately equipped with dishwasher and utensils) is just marvellous. The location is just right with the tranquility of a hamlet but with all the sights and attractions no more than a 45 minute drive away. Our hosts Joel and Carrine are welcoming and very helpful.The complimentary wine and strawberries ( grown by a neighbour) were very much appreciated. We were lucky to have chosen this excellent value for money property and our kind hosts. If we return to this region of France we shall seek to book again as our first choice

Stayed Jun 20, 2023“Balade au Bois” Le Chataîgnier was a delightful home for the week. A great location to explore neighbouring villages and towns both in the Dordogne and the Lot region of France. The house was spotlessly clean, and it was equipped with everything we needed and more. We were greeted by Carine et Joel, and they welcomed us into their beautiful home, they very sweetly gave us a welcome gift of local Cahors wine and fresh local strawberries. We had a mixed age group of adults, and the house was very suitable for all of us. We especially enjoyed the pool with under cover cooking and dining area. The pool house was equipped with many games including a great full size table tennis. All in all a great time was had and many memories created. We will be booking again for next year for sure.
