Lavender Cottage is a very snug, homely cottage on the outskirts of the village of Carsphairn. It is situated between Loch Ken and Loch Doon, both 20 minutes drive away, within the vast forest park.

Stayed Jun 25, 2025I came to see where my ancestors came from before going to Australia. The village of Dalmellington was just as I imagined, very quaint.

Stayed Aug 13, 2024Very peaceful location in beautiful countryside. Nice cottage, well equipped, cosy and clean. Only one issue - water flow from shower head rather weak.

Stayed May 18, 2024The property was clean and comfortable and suited us well for a short stay. We did a lovely walk into the surrounding hills straight from the house. Would benefit from a few small improvements, e.g. more cutlery and other kitchen equipment, but no major issues.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great place in a beautiful location. Really enjoyed relaxing by the open fire after a day on the bike at Loch Doon. Hosts were very friendly would recommend.
