Flat 28: Barns Street Ayr

It was a beautiful flat everything you could ever use in your own home was there and the owners were really helpful

Positioned ideally in central Ayr, the decor was really interesting and had obviously had a great deal of thought put into it. Beds were really comfy, all amenities were modern and functional. Couldnt have been much better really

Our first visit to Scotland (and a babymoon) and staying at Fiona’s apartment was definitely a highlight. Such a beautifully decorated, comfortable, and clean space. Fiona had thoughtfully filled it with everything we could possibly need, which meant we didn’t have to bring a lot of our own things. Being just 5 minutes from the beach and park (which our 5-year-old loved!) was perfect, especially as my wife was pregnant and couldn’t do a lot of walking.We felt right at home from the moment we arrived, and it truly made our trip extra special. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped, and family-friendly getaway.

We had an absolutely wonderful two week stay at Fiona's lovely flat. The accommodation was well appointed with everything we needed and true to the photos. Fiona and James were terrific hosts and very responsive. The location was perfect; close to the bus and train stations, a very short stroll to the beach, with restaurants and cafes close by. Highly recommend this lovely flat and we would stay here again and again!

This flat is clean and very comfortable, just as beautiful as the photos! Loved the decor and the artwork, the beds were fantastic, and Fiona was super responsive and easy to communicate with. We made good use of the washing machine, and it even has a dishwasher. Really appreciated the ability to have twin beds for our teen sons rather than one larger bed. We also appreciated the dedicated off-street parking. Note that the flat is up one flight of stairs, be advised if you have any mobility issues or are traveling with large suitcases, there is no lift (standard for this age of house). The town of Ayr wraps up pretty early--shops close between 4 and 6 pm, and by 9 the streets are pretty well deserted--a bit surprising for a beach town in high summer. (Maybe Ayr is more of a town with a beach than a beach town.) But if you want to enjoy a relaxing flat that makes a good base for golf or further explorations (such as the Isle of Arran, a short ferry ride away), I would recommend this lovely property.

Just had a wonderful 3 day stay in Ayr, the apartment is in the perfect location for exploring Ayr and the surrounding area, the host Fiona was great and made you feel welcome from the moment you are handed the keys. The apartment is spotless bright and comfortable.I will definitely be booking again.

The flat is very clean and is well equipped with all that you need for a great stay. Fiona is a very friendly and helpfull host.The flat is central for bars, restaurants, shops and a five min walk to the beach. A perfect place to stay in Ayr.

Great location Had everything we needed

Fiona's place is clean, cute, comfy and well located for a visit to Ayr. It is more spacious than I imaged and beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfy and it is so close to great restaurants and cafe's. Highly recommend her place.
