Enjoy beach living in this 2 level designer 3br+2ba beach cottage (no shared walls!) located in the heart of La Jolla, less than one block from the famous Windansea surf/swim friendly beach. Other highlights include brand new professional coastal design, Samsung SMART TVs (with cable), 2 compact garage parking spaces, dog ok (unfortunately no cats), & sleeping arrangements for 8 including 2 King beds. *Please note there is no A/C, though floor fans are provided. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY 8

FIRST LEVEL
Lush landscape & ivy cover this light & bright surf cottage, located just steps to beautiful white sandy Windansea beach. As you enter the home you'll be greeted by a living room tastefully decorated with blue & gray beach tones, windows galore, accent chairs, & Samsung SMART TV.

Off the living room is a dining area for 8 as well as a fully equipped kitchen with full size refrigerator and 4 burner gas stove + oven. There is also a large pantry to hold all of your tasty goodies.

The first downstairs bedroom has a brand King size bed and Smart TV. The second downstairs bedroom features a Queen bed. The downstairs shared bathroom has a walk in shower which is perfect for rinsing off sandy feet.

SECOND LEVEL
The upstairs bedroom is sunny and warm with a brand new King size bed and Smart TV. The en suite bathroom has a stand up shower. The bonus room features a Full size bed.

Some of our favorite nearby eateries include Busy Bee's Bagels, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, LJ Crafted Wines, Wheat & Water wood-fired pizza & Duke's La Jolla family eatery. Also just a few blocks to Valley Farm organic grocery market & butchery shop.

ACTIVITIES
Within 1 block to the famous Windansea beach, which is both swim and surf friendly. Also nearby is La Jolla Cove, with great snorkeling, swimming, and kayaking.

ATTRACTIONS
Just a few minutes away is the Village of La Jolla, with endless shops & entertainment. A quick Uber ride South will get you to Belmont Park's Big Dipper roller coaster and all new Plunge pool. Other attractions include ~10min drive to Sea World, over the hill is ~20min drive to the famous San Diego Zoo, and just ~15min drive to Del Mar fairgrounds and racetrack.

POLICIES & GOOD NEIGHBOR GUIDELINES
• Guest Requirements | Per certain regulations & HOA requirements, guests must be at least 30 years of age to book with us. If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30 (exceptions made for multigenerational families).
• Occupancy | Maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (i.e. includes both overnight guests & non-overnight visitors), some of which may be mandated by certain regulations. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight.
• Noise | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways, not rowdy beach parties. Music and other noise is to be kept at an appropriate level and in a manner that is mindful to neighbors. Noise that can be heard 50 feet away from the home is prohibited. Parties are not allowed. If there is excessive noise or music, any illegal activity, or evidence of violation of these policies, you may be asked to vacate the premise without any refund and additional charges may be assessed.
• Combination Listings | Due to occupancy restrictions, larger groups looking to book multiple units must reserve an approved combination listing. No more than 1 combination listing can be reserved per stay.

    Beware of Ants! The kitchen is infested with them. Each morning there were 50 to a hundred crawling the counters. They were in the coffee pot when we arrived and crawling each day through the pans. I contacted the property manager to request they do something and we were told to use a spray under the sink. Not only do they know about the ants, they do nothing! Of course this creates additional problems because you can’t open the window in the kitchen that is incredibly old and has no screen. I had new baby formula on the kitchen overnight that was closed tight in a plastic container and in the morning there were tons of ants in it! I reported this as well and they did nothing.The rest of the home is older, which may not be a problem but with no air conditioning the lack of working windows in the upstairs smaller bedroom and the lack of screens make it a hot box. The best part of the property is of course its proximity to the beach but we would caution you to look for a different property.

    Prime location to beach, pet friendly so there is a pet smell.Rooms are good size. Upstairs bathroom has a small corner shower. Wish more windows has screens to keep bugs out. Fans for every room. Love the privacy hedge. Busy in daytime, peaceful at night. Yes... i will come back....if allowed. :)

    Great location, short walk to the beach with beautiful views; amenities such as beach chairs, boogie boards, and towels were much appreciated. Beds were comfortable and layout was nice. Only thing that could’ve been improved were the screens in the windows (as many were nonfunctional or needing repair). Great place to stay for the family and would rent again!

    The location was everything. So close to the beach, an organic grocery store, restaurants and coffee places. You could walk everywhere. The home was very clean and all of the bedding comfortable. The home provides beach towels, which is very helpful. We would love to stay here again!

    We had a wonderful stay and the management company was really good- there when we needed but also not bombarding with information (which I prefer!). The cottage is in such a beautiful, walkable location, and the beds are comfy and the area felt safe and neighborhood-y! I’d recommend this low key beach cottage stay!

    I travelled with my dad, 20-something children and nieces along with my sister for my son’s wedding. It’s was such a great location to the beach and around the corner for cafes and other necessities. We had everything we needed and even ordered food through the Shipt app supplied by the vrbo.
