Lamy, New Mexico
SEVEN NIGHT MINIMUM STAY
Ready for a change Imagine your joy upon arriving at your Santa Fe escape home. Located on 13 private acres, this 3800 square foot, single level home will provide an unforgettable getaway. Created in the Santa Fe style, this home offers the features you will so enjoy about Santa Fe architecture….kiva fireplaces, Saltillo tile floors, beamed ceilings, and wonderful outdoor space with mountain views at every turn. Ultimate privacy and just a 20-minute drive to Santa Fe with its variety of wonderful restaurants, shops, and galleries.
The open concept floor plan is wonderful for entertaining or large family groups. The sizeable living room has large windows viewing the mountains, a wonderful wood-burning kiva fireplace, and a SmartTV (satellite service by DirecTV). There is also a game table for your enjoyment. The soaring ceiling has a round design pattern of vigas and latillas.
The kitchen is a true gourmet’s delight. Not only is it grand, with lots of counter space (granite, of course), but also has high-end appliances…a 6-burner gas stove, a double oven, and gigantic refrigerator. The kitchen is fully equipped with most everything needed for creating succulent meals. Nearby is the dining room, comfortably seating six.
The master bedroom suite is at one end of the home. It has a king bed, plus sitting area which includes a large TV and another kiva fireplace. There is a walkout to the portal (views). There are two generous closets, plus a gorgeous master bath with large tub, double custom sinks, separate shower and toilet/bidet.
At the opposite end of the home is a bedroom with a queen bed, including a walk-out to the front courtyard plus mountain views. Of course, fast WIFI is provided. Double doors can be closed for complete privacy should you need to be working during your stay.
Further down the hall are two additional queen bedrooms. Each has its own sink area. They share (Jack & Jill) a raised, deep jetted tub, a shower, and toilet.
One of the areas you will enjoy the most is the large, covered portal off the living room/kitchen. This is a wonderful area for entertaining with lounge furniture in front of the outdoor kiva fireplace, as well as a dining area for four with outdoor barbeque. Expansive views of the desert landscape and mountains beyond provide the ultimate spot for sipping those afternoon Margaritas or Mojitos! The hot tub is not available for use.
Casa Cuervo is located just south of the Eldorado area where you will find a grocery store, restaurants, hair salon, fitness center, pet store, pharmacy and more. They are just 7 minutes away.
We welcome your dog (no cats) and the yard is enclosed. There is also plenty of ground for walking on a leash.
Amenities include two spaces in the garage plus plenty of additional parking for guests, radiant, in-floor heating, air conditioning via mini-splits in the entire home, and ceiling fans in most rooms. All linens are provided. We also have high-speed WIFI, two SmartTV’s, washer and dryer, and barbeque grill.
The property exceeded our expectations. Very spacious for our group of six adults. The sunrises and sunsets were awesome. The location was convenient with easy access to ABQ, Santa Fe, and Ski Santa Fe. The bedding was comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped. Thanks!
We had Thanksgiving at this house. Great kitchen - huge fridge and freezer, 6 burner stove, large counters and many appliances including handheld mixer! Also great family room with a very nice wood-burning fireplace. The house is minutes from the Galisteo Basin Preserve, where we hiked almost every day. We also enjoyed the fusball table in the garage and the quiet neighborhood. We would stay here again.
I visited in early October with my sisters, cousins and aunts for a girls-only trip. We spent a week here in Lamy and found it to be restful, roomy and the ultimate retreat. There was space for all of us to gather around the table for meals and games, on the back porch for sunset and in the kitchen for dance parties. It’s a bit out of the way but worth it! Our only suggestions would be to add more seating in the living room and a Bluetooth speaker for music (we brought one). We’d certainly stay again! ✨?
We stayed at this house last year for six weeks and it was very well outfitted for the luxury home (and price) that it was. We love this house. It feels, though, that the Owners are trying to discourage people from cooking/renting the house this year. There were very little towels in the linen closet, they removed most of the seasonings, pots, kitchenware, all the storage containers, and while we love the house it felt less inviting. Plus, I requested information from the Owner about a six week stay this winter and no one got back to me. We are easy and terrific guests and leave the place very clean so it just feels to me that they really are not interested in guests renting in all honesty. Even the local magazines were removed from the coffee table in the living room.
This was a nice house with great views. The house was well designed with a very comfortable layout and well fit-out. The kitchen was stocked with high end appliances and utensils. We enjoyed being out of the city. Anyone with a large motorhome or trailer 15' or longer will struggle with the circular driveway as it is VERY TIGHT. After leaving the highway the gravel road is rough and crooked. After saying all that we really did enjoy our stay.
From the time we entered this home, we loved it. Even contemplated renting it next summer for a month. And then...the refrigerator was tepid and showed a temperature of 66 degrees. But we hoped it was because we were unloading food that we brought along. Unfortunately, it continued to be so warm that we called the property manager. He arrived and advised us to unload our most perishable foods into a little fridge in the garage and back into our coolers. By day 4 most of our meat, dairy and produce had to be thrown out. A service person would be coming but never arrived. In the meantime, we were without water to 8-12 hours on end. You can imagine how the teenage girls handled that. The property manager was lost as to why this was happening and contacted the owners. By day 4 of no refrigerator and intermittent water, our kids decided to leave. As we looked around and with no water and a useless refrigerator, we knew we needed to leave. I had contacted the owners repeatedly and advised them we had to leave. This, by the way was a long-planned family get together...totally ruined. I can't count the times I've emailed the owners asking for some type of compensation for spoiled food and forfeited days of stay at their home. I received one response after we had left saying they were sorry for the problems but absolutely no response to our request for some sort of compensation. This has been an incredible nightmare and a huge family disappointment.
Clean. Roomy. Quiet. Remote. Beautiful stargazing. Relaxing.
Comfortable, quiet, and beautiful home with gorgeous sunsets.
The property far exceeded our expectations! We had tons of room, so comfortable, close to everything we wanted to do and see! We were so sad to leave and hope to come back again!!
We just spent a week at this property with our 3 adults sons and 2 of their significant others. ( 7 adults) The place was perfect. Everyone had their own space and privacy but also had great together areas. inside and out. The house is even more unique and beautiful then the pictures. The kitchen is fabulous and great for family dinners. plus a great grill on the patio. the house was extremally clean. Plenty of towels and dishes plus a washer and dryer. Many amenities including coffee filters and spices and condiments. The location was great. 20 some minutes to Santa Fe Plaza. great hiking 5 minutes a way at Galisteo Basin. Pleasant but expensive grocery in El Dorado about 7 minutes away . We stooped at Costco from Airport in Albuquerque and just bought a few staples at the grocery. We ate most breakfasts and dinners at the house and had lunches out. Great Restaurant( the Agora?) in Eldorado and local bar with great happy hour. about 7 minutes from the house. I totally recommend this house. If ever in the area again would stay here again.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Santa Fe property. The location was quiet, with fantastic views, and easy access to the city. The furnishings and the house itself were exactly as advertised, and we didn't want to leave the house it was so nice. The totally fenced/walled property was also perfect for our little dog while we were spending meals and evenings outside. Thanks so much for opening your home to us.
Gorgeous property overlooking landscape for miles. It was perfect for sunning/resting/ and visiting historic Sante Fe. Remote place perfect distance from sante Fe.
This place has everything you could want. It's spacious yet quaint. It's far enough away from anything and extremely peaceful but close enough to Santa Fe and Albuquerque to get your necessities and do any sightseeing. It was a great, relaxing vacation. I highly recommend.
As some of the other reviews have said, the photos of this place really don’t do it justice. Every view from every window looks like a painting. It was so peaceful sitting on the gigantic wraparound porch and looking out over the mountains or staying cozy by the fireplace. The house is extremely spacious, well laid out for privacy in each bedroom. Truly a magnificent place to stay to get out of town and enjoy nature. The nearby grocery store and restaurants were very nice and convenient when we didn’t want to go into Santa Fe. And when we did, it was a quick and beautiful 20 minute drive into the city. We definitely hope to come back one day with more family and friends!
This is a very large home (4bdrm, 3bath, huge kitchen, separate dinning room and family room) with wrap around porches sitting on top of a mountain with amazing views. You're only 25 minutes from downtown Santa Fe, and there's local shopping and restaurants within 5-10 miles. My wife and I and our dog spent the month of February here with lots of snow, high winds, and fantastic sunrises/sunsets all mixed in. We had one of our grown kids and her partner and dog come visit for a long weekend. Wifi was excellent throughout the house which allowed me to work remotely when needed. It was exactly what we were looking for and more. Very family and pet friendly, with lots of room to spread out. If you are here for a long stay, note that there is no cleaning service (unless you pay extra to a cleaning contractor). They have a large washer/dryer, vacuum cleaner and other cleaning supplies. Also you have to take the trash and recycling to the Lamy center, about 4 miles away. If you can afford this one, take advantage of a great experience.
Phenomenal property! My family and I agree that this has been our favorite house we've stayed in. It's was perfect distance away from the city but close enough that it never felt inconvenient to run to store or get something to eat. Most notably, the FAST response and communication the property managers. By far the best we've ever experienced! We will definitely look to book here again!
