Large New Modern Guest House + Laundry + Garden

Our stay was lovely - a quiet setting well off the street yet very accessible. The unit was nicely designed with separate areas for both a late sleeper & an early riser like we are. - The kitchen fully allowed a meal being prepared, not just a kitchenette. We would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely little back-yard cottage near downtown San Jose. Perfect for pets. The hosts are attentive to details and it meets all basic needs. Excellent washer/dryer and great shower. Extremely clean, but the linens/pillows could use some updating. Also, parking is a small challenge but not a deal-breaker. For our stay, the guests in the other unit were charming and invited us to their birthday celebration. Would stay again.

Bed is firm and water pressure/temp excellent. Quiet, safe neighborhood that is close to some amazing restaurants. I used the courtyard every day for morning coffee or visits from kids/grandkids. We even did an art project which was a one of those special family memories you talk about for years. We would definitely stay again.

We liked the neighborhood itself, but the house was not to our liking. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. It does not have central heat and air. When you run a few items like TV, heater/console and lights, the breaker would trip. When running my hairdryer and having lights on, the breaker would trip. Kinda scary with no lights on and not safe. We didn't stay the second night we paid for.

Disappointed in the inaccuracy of the listing. The neighborhood was sketchy and having to walk from our car to the property in the dark wasn’t safe. Men partying in the street at 11 pm. The property was okay. No real AC just a portable one in bedroom. Coffee maker didn’t work properly. The property owners were quick to respond to an issue and I value that.

The guest house is so adorable. Was just the right size for 2 adults, could definitely accommodate 2 more with the couch and other sofa but very comfortable for 2 adults. The shower was big, but would be nice if the shower had more pressure. The place was overall very clean. Except a slight wood smell. Not sure if it's the furniture or the outside. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would not mind staying here again :) the host didn't leave any instructions indoors and not sure what the wifi was...but that's alright it's a nice cozy spot

Would love to have given this property more stars, but it really needs more work before being listed. To start the house was visibly dirty; the floors were filthy, the dishes all needed to be cleaned again prior to using, and the shower was very grimy. The house also was not stocked to even minimum standards, there was no laundry soap, hand soap in the kitchen, and no additional sheets were provided for the spare beds listed in the posting. Additionally the pocket door to separate the living room and bedroom did not work, making the space more of a studio than a 1 bedroom. The hosts were very responsive, but we had to reach out too much for items that should have just been provided. The location was good and very private even though it’s behind two other homes. With some work this property could be a good option, but in its current state it is not something our family would recommend.
