This lake home is on 9 acres of land, with a walk-in sandy beach on Lake Anna. It is in a large, quiet no-wake zone with long views and that is great for swimming, paddleboarding, floating or just relaxing. The property is located on the public side of Lake Anna, which means you can access restaurants, tiki bars, mini-golf, marinas and more by boat. Plus, the water doesn't get too warm in the summer on the public side, as can happen on the private side. There is lots of wildlife, including deer, foxes and bald eagles. You can swim, boat, tube, jetski, canoe and play in the lake. There's a marina down the street that rents pontoon boats and personal watercraft by the day. The home has 6 bedrooms and three large common areas, including a tricked out basement with pool table, 80" hi-def TV, a pinball machine and beautiful views of the lake. The main floor is open with a large, stone fireplace in the living room, a large screened-in porch, and a sun deck overlooking the lake. There is also a bonus loft family room with vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows overlooking the lake. There is a gas grill on the sun deck and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
This is our second stay, now in the Fall for Oct. 6-11. It was absolutely beautiful again-we hiked at the state park on a stunning trail along, the lake and rented kayaks from Lake Anna Outfitters that were delivered directly to the house on the front lawn. The water was still warm enough to swim in when the sun was out. The house again was lovely-excellent for cooking and entertaining. Incredibly relaxing.
Our family group of 9 enjoyed this beautiful home and property. The experience is as wonderful in the warm weather as described in former reviews for the cold months. The expansive green lawn spills down onto the lake with sandy beach and then dock; we enjoyed especially the picturesque views of the 2 islands that dot the lake in front of the home and swimming across the inlet and around the islands. The kitchen was perfect for people who love to cook and grill. There were all of the supplies we needed, including loads of beach towels in the house and in the dock house. We rented a pontoon boat and raft at Dukes Marina, a 3 min drive down the road, which allowed us to explore distant parts of the public side of the lake, including the state park, and try fishing and swimming in quiet coves. Our host was incredibly helpful. We look forward to returning again!
The view of Lake Anna is beautiful, from misty mornings to pastel sunsets. Our crew rented a canoe and explored the winter lake. There is a firepit with lounge chairs next to a sandy beach and a boat launch dock. We loved having three living/gathering areas on three levels with TV's, fireplace, game set ups, etc. It worked out perfectly with all of the different age groups and sleeping arrangements. Well equipped kitchen, lovely flow of spaces, plenty of bathrooms, bedrooms, huge dining areas indoors and out. We brought three families, all ages, many interests and everyone loved it. I imagine summer is even better with all of the water activities. The hosts were great, answered all of our questions and provided info about the area. We had an easy, memorable time at the Lake.
House is awesome. We had a family event and everyone loved it. The view, water, dock, spaciousness, beds, kitchen, decks and hosts were perfect. Best place we have ever stayed.
Great secluded location on 9 acres. We enjoyed the pier, fishing, rented a boat from Duke's just down the street. Lots of space to entertain a large family like ours. Highly recommend this rental...you won't be disappointed.
This property is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. The owners were great. We enjoyed watching the kids play in the water off the sandy shore, fish off the dock and roast marshmallows in the fire pit. The entire house was well stocked! Especially the kitchen. We are definitely going to be frequent guests here. Thank you Stephanie!
