Large Lodge in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho 8 bedrooms sleeps 35

This property was a great location for our family reunion. I loved how many bedrooms and bathrooms it has. The kitchen was sufficient for all our cooking. The Living Room area was huge !

Great place for our large family weekend in Lava.

It was very spacious and enjoyable to be in. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was very nice & roomy. The property was out of the way of traffic & people which was great, but not so far out of Lava, that we had to drive a long ways to swim and float. I liked the wooden floor in the center for eating and then we moved the chairs & tables back and all sat around the wooden floor to have our activities, and programs and that was great. Some of the problems are: One of the taps in the tub was a bit funky and probably needs some attention and fixing. (NE Bathroom in basement) Another bathroom seemed to have a wet mat even the next morning after it hand over the tub to dry, so there could be a little leak (SW bathroom in basement) The two different families in the bedrooms with wooden log sides and headboard & footboard weren't too happy! The log set up is pretty and the bed itself was comfortable but those logs on the side, are very, very uncomfortable to get in and out of the bed. It is scratchy and hurts your body trying to climb over the logs. They are also a safety risk for middle age adults and older adults trying to maneuver over the logs and falling and losing your balance, as you're trying to keep from getting all scratched up. The families said, they really think the owners need to replace these log beds with just a plain queen base. Some of the walkways are pretty uneven and could cause people to stubble & fall easily.

Exquisite property for hosting a retreat with 39 highschoolers and 5 chaperones. The location and layout of the place was absolutely stupendous. Will use this one again.

This is the third year we’ve stayed at the lodge. It’s perfect for our event.

We loved our stay for 3 days and we had so much room for my whole family.

This was the perfect place for our family reunion. We had 35 people and it accommodated all of us very easily. We were very pleased with the kitchen that had all the cookware that we needed to prep meals for such a large group. Kids loved the large spaces to play in and there was room for adults to get away and talk. Would happily stay here again!

This place was amazing! So nice and big, enough room for everyone inside and out. Had everything we needed. Can't praise enough about this amazing place. Thank you!!

Our family of nearly 40 has a wonderful time here from July 13-17, 2025. We especially loved the huge main room where we had our gatherings and even played lawn games. Plenty of space and so close to all the activities in town. The pool and ping pong tables could use updating. But other than that, this was an amazing experience. It's definitely on our list to do again.

Great Lodge. My children and grand children really enjoyed the accommodations. We had a wonderful family reunion.

The property is in a great quiet location and it is a beautiful large home. The only downsides are, we felt there could be upgrades to a few of the things in the home and they weren’t exactly what we were expecting for the price that was paid. Along with the cleanliness. A cleaning fee was paid but there were quite a few areas that seemed to be missed in the cleaning process in multiple rooms and bathrooms, which was disappointing. I would suggest this home for any large groups.

This property was perfect for our group. There was so much room. We weren't on top of each other and the cousins were able to enjoy each other and have quiet time when they needed. So important when they are over-stimulated. Thank you for welcoming us into your home m

We enjoyed staying at the Frandsen lodge for the second time. It works so well for us. Our only minor issue this year was that the beds in the two kids rooms had been changed from what is on the website and we had to make some adjustments to our plans.

Nice space...lots of bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms. Plenty of tables and chairs and couches. We had a blast as a family women's group.

It was absolutely wonderful and perfect for our family reunion!! The property was spacious and just what we expected. We all loved sitting on the deck and admiring the amazing view. What a fabulous house!!

Overall our stay was very nice. Some electronic items did not work. The house was very spacious and accomodated our large family nicely.
