Peaks Island, Maine
Heron's Perch on Peaks' Island has space to hold everyone and cozy spots to curl up on your own. Just steps to the market and ice cream shop and a short bike ride to the open ocean on the back shore. Beautiful porch to enjoy morning coffee and light filled rooms. There are four bedrooms and a full bath upstairs with a total of 3 queen beds, 2 double beds and a twin bed. One bedroom has a desk. Heron's Perch was built in 1867 and the stairs to the second floor are steeper than modern stairs. There is a sleeping area with a comfortable foldout futon and desk on the first floor off the sitting room and a 3/4 bath downstairs. Plenty of room to relax in the two living rooms, front porch, back deck and large lawn with picnic table and chairs. Peaks' Island has everything to make wonderful memories and rest and restore. We are in a residential neighborhood and for this reason quiet hours are mandatory from 10PM-7AM.
Beautiful old home with plenty of places to gather together as a group or go sit and take some time alone to read and relax. Short walk to shops, restaurants, beach and the ferry. Beds were comfortable and pristine. Good pillows. House was stocked with everything you need to cook. Great place for a family to gather!
Heron's Perch was a great place for our multi-generational family (ages 10-79) to stay for a week. Clean, comfortable, very well-equipped. Great communication with host.
This is the second year my sister’s family, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Lily’s place. This home is very well equipped, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Lily was very quick to respond whenever we had a question. The location is great, quiet and removed from the ‘hubbub’ but within walking distance to the ferry. The outdoor space is also very comfortable, with the addition of a solo fire pit and chairs. We hope to stay again next year!
I rented the house as a fun weekend with some girlfriends & we had the best time! Checking in was so easy, Lily was very helpful with questions & recommendations. Very clean, great location, very walkable from the ferry.
This is a great option for a larger group of people! Plenty of beds! Short walk to the ferry.
This quirky old house is well updated and comfortable for lots of people. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
Loved it
We were nine adults gathered for a family wedding on the island. The house had comfy beds for all, plenty of space to relax and a very well stocked kitchen. The front porch was our favorite spot to gather for morning coffee or late day cocktails. Lily was readily available through the entire process answering questions promptly. We'd definitely stay again on a return trip.
We had a couple families on peaks for a wedding and this house was perfect for a big group. Very cute and clean, well equipped and great location walking distance to the ferry, our friends house and the wedding event. Everyone loved it!
We absolutely loved this house! It’s spacious, very clean and in a great location. Thanks for a great vacation Lily!
The house had lots of sleeping arrangements for peace and privacy. The front porch wind chime was welcoming!
We had a terrific family reunion on Peaks Island, with Lily’s house being a perfect place to call home for a week. The house is beautiful, very conveniently located within walking distance to the ferry. The house was immaculately clean and had all the amenities needed for a very comfortable stay. The well appointed kitchen made preparing large meals easy, and there is also a large grill on the deck. A wide porch with comfortable chairs and lovely wind chimes made a pleasant place for morning coffee or evening conversation. I would highly recommend Lily’s house!
Stayed with my husband, three young kids, and their grandparents. It was a great trip - the house fit us all comfortably, the kitchen had everything we needed, great outdoor area for the kids to run around, short walk to the water. Definitely a memorable trip!
Heron's Nest is a beautiful, secluded haven. The house is gorgeous inside and out. Even the paint color, a soothing, warm white, evokes a sense of peace and calm. The house is spacious, with private nooks to get lost in a book and large, comfortable areas in which to gather. The kitchen is well-equipped and has everything you could need, from three different coffee machines (drip, French press, Keurig) to a fabulous omelet pan (we are cooks) and a giant pot for steaming lobsters. The front porch is definitely a highlight. We started each day with a cup of coffee breathing in the fresh cool sea air. Lovely!
Charming spacious antique impeccably renovated. Well appointed kitchen with all you need for a lobster feast! Lots of room to congregate both inside and out. Lovely family room. Four comfy bedrooms! Great location from the ferry--easy walk. We would love to return.
This is a terrific rental! We stayed for three nights in April. The location is in easy walking distance of the ferry (absolutely critical for easy trips to the mainland). The house is very well stocked. The beds are comfortable. We cooked one night and the kitchen was had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and there is a ton of sleeping space. I’ve stayed in probably 40 rentals in my travels and this is easily one of the best. Communication with the owner is also outstanding. Don’t hesitate on this one!
