Everything was very comfortable and clean. There were 13 of us and we had plenty of room. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We enjoyed an extended family Christmas vacation at Summit Ridge. The view was spectacular and the home is spacious, lots of room for togetherness but also places to retreat for quiet if desired. The host was very responsive to the few things we needed. There are many things to do at the nearby resorts and lots of opportunities to explore nature. We hope to return soon!
We went with four families and really enjoyed our stay! Amazing views and we loved the fire pit and hot tub. Lots of bedrooms and space for people to sleep and kids to play. Close to nice hikes too!
The location of the property was wonderful, however, upon check-in, we discovered that the upstairs air conditioning was not working. The management company had placed portable units in a couple of the small bedrooms, but had no solution for the upstairs master, which we had planned on using. Upon multiple discussions with the management company, they offered no discount and told us to open the windows, which was ridiculous, because they have no screens and there’s lots of bugs this time of year. In our opinion, not being able to use the upper master took away one of the most Important aspects of the home that we had counted on and paid for. The upper master has the most spectacular view. There was a few days that it rained that the bedroom was bearable, but most of the time the temperature was well above 80° and unable to use at all. The other huge disappointment was the rugs, the rugs in all of the bathrooms were super old and filthy. They were stuck to the floor! We had to remove them they were so dirty and unsanitary, we didn’t want step on them. The rugs in the main areas the house were super old & dusty as well. The house has beautiful wooden floors, but covered in nasty rugs. In our many years on this application, we’ve never had to leave a negative review, however, we felt our duty to the next family to be aware that this house is full of dirty, dusty rugs that could be easily rectified, but they ignored.
Property and views were just as described, check in was easy and everyone had a pillow in our large group. Large dining table is perfect for catching up with friends and the porches and hot tub gave great sunsets for the end of the days.
My family and I had an amazing time on our little mountain getaway! The accomodations were as advertised and fit our large family well! There was plenty of space to gather together or separate to our own spaces when needed. The location is great! Very close to Sugar Mountain and other fun things to do! We had hoped to snow tube, but the weather had other plans. Instead we went gem mining and went on the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster (definitely recommend). The driveway was a bit steep and scary for those not accustomed to the mountain roads, but it certainly would not keep us from going back! It was a fantastic place to stay!
Location was beautiful. Beds vey comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Furnishings a little outdated, but worked out well for a party of 14 people.
Property was amazing. Perfect for our large group. The beautiful snow made the driveway a little tough to navigate, especially for us Floridians who don’t really know how to drive in snow….but we managed. I would definitely stay here again!!
Spacious living room and kitchen for the large family gatherings. Great location and a quick minute trip to free sledding!
The house was very spacious and well stocked for our large family
Perfect size and views were amazing
Great house for our large family!
Our company enjoyed our stay at this property. There were plenty of amenities and a lot of things to do nearby.
We had our leadership team and families to relax and unwind for the weekend. Wonderful property, plenty of space, and amazing views. Hours were spent on the porch taking in the view.
Great property with amazing views. We were able to get everything we wanted for our work retreat from this property.
Views were fantastic! House was beautiful and inviting and had everything we needed and more!
House was plenty big for 6 families with 18 people total with ages from 7 to 81. We were able to enjoy family style meals, play games and enjoy the fantastic view from the porch including Grandfather Mountain. Several good restaurants for breakfast on Beech Mountain and in Banner Elk within 15 minutes.
This vacation was a terrific experience from start to finish! A very smooth rental process and check-in. The home is wonderful, with terrific views from nearly every window. The spacious living room, very large dining table, and TWO spacious decks allowed our large group to spread out, relax, and enjoy each other’s company. The kids in our group were 12, 7, 4, 2, and 10 months and the house provided plenty of room for them to play. The bedrooms are surprisingly spacious. The location is very convenient to tons of area attractions as well as hiking, white water rafting, etc.. Overall, this is the perfect home for a large group to have a fabulous vacation.
Great location near Banner Elk and 30 minutes to Boone. Plenty of things to do in the summer. Amazing views throughout the day from the very large deck. Plenty of bedrooms for two families.
Our family had an outstanding experience at Summit Ridge. The house was super comfortable with beautiful views and great location close to Beech Mountain and Banner Elk. Lots to do for family members of all ages. We’ll be back!
