Large Home w/ Deck & Grill ~ 9 Mi to Virginia Tech

This home was perfect for our stay of four couples visiting for a Virginia Tech football weekend! House was immaculate, kitchen was incredibly well stocked, beds were comfortable, and host thought of all the special little touches for the weekend, including snacks and toiletries! She even allowed us to check in a little early so that we could enjoy a tailgate prior to the evening football game! Location was incredibly convenient to the stadium - about 20 minutes from door to parking lot.

The host was very responsive. The house was very accommodating for our group of 6. There was a whole room we didnt touch. The house smelled funny though would recommend some air fresheners or something. The 3 different checkout rules was confusing as well but the host responded back quickly.

The exterior access is not senior friendly. It is a difficult trek from the drive to the front door on unstable pavers. The rear entrance, where you find the grill, is downright dangerous with steep steps and a heck of a drop off at the drive. However, once inside, the place was as advertised. The rooms were all well appointed with the visitors' comfort in mind.

Quiet community house 1.9 miles from Christiansburg Aquatic Center. EASY to get back and forth quickly and you could even walk or run as there are sidewalks the whole way. It was an easy drive into Blacksburg Virginia Tech to enjoy campus life and dining options. Huckleberry trail close-by and great hiking option too. This is your grandmom's house stocked with lots of supplies for cooking full course meals, thoughtful touches like extra bagged ice in freezer, coffee and some treats. All new/modern appliances. We didn't come across anything she didn't have in the house. Living/TV room furniture very comfortable. Beds very comfortable with pads and down toppers, super soft sheets. Curtains could be thicker, blackout drapes so if sensitive to light from the outdoor security motion sensor floodlight coming in bedroom, bring an eyemask. The bunk beds upstairs are regular length, not long twins so wouldn't suggest older teens staying there unless under 5'8. Showers had great pressure and master shower was huge. Laundry washer and dryer very new. Owner is repairing the entry keypad which was problematic during our stay, but always worked (eventually) after multiple tries (hence the 4 instead of stars for check-in) but did scare us initially. The 3 full baths in the house make for an excellent option for 3 different family parents attending a swim meet and able to get ready simultaneously. There would be room for bringing our kids too if they hadn't been with the team.

unfortunately, we never got to make it to the property because the owner canceled our reservation at the very last minute. We had 10 guests coming, one of which needed special accommodations for. disability. we are extremely disappointed in VRBO.

Booked this home for 3 nights to visit our daughter with friends and attend a Thursday night Va Tech football game. Great accommodations that was perfect for us and our guests. All rooms, bathrooms, etc were very clean and the house was well stocked and organized - kitchen and bathrooms. Location has a convenient 15 min drive to campus which was an easy drive. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

The property is a quick drive to Virginia Tech during the move in period and has all the things you’d expect.

We enjoyed staying here for a dive meet. Pool was convenient drive about 6 minutes. Loved going hiking and taking long walks around this peaceful neighborhood. Lots of space to spread out even with large group. Well stocked even had crockpot and rice maker and kitchen aid mixer. Hostess responsive once we were able to connect. Thanks again for a great stay!
