Stayed Dec 31, 1969Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place is a bit run down. One bed didn’t have a mattress, there were things broken in the kitchen and the fan in the main bedroom was broken. It’s got potential but needs an inspection and a thorough clean.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is awesome, the house not so much. Lots of cobwebs, food scraps such as sausage, wrappers, biscuits etc down cracks in lounge downstairs. Very mouldy & smelt stuffy especially downstairs. Shelves in kitchen dirty, food scraps in grill. Doors downstairs very difficult to open & close & curtains falling down on one sliding door. We always enjoy our time in Hat Head & have been visiting for over 30 years, I would have to say unfortunately the Castle is probably the dirtiest house we have stayed in. We still enjoyed our stay, like I said the location saves this house.

Stayed Dec 19, 2020A very comfortable property although a little outdated. Needs a warning on stairway to alert persons of overhead hazard. Overhead fans especially in the bedrooms would be an improvement. Other than this quite comfortable.
