Stayed Jun 20, 2025This house was nicer than the photos! It was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with implements to make a delicious surf and turf dinner. 1st floor bath had a wonderful shower and the queen beds were great. Host was very responsive and helpful. The view was breathtaking and the area had a lot to offer.

Stayed Oct 22, 2024The pictures sold me on the reservation but honestly don't do justice to what you walk into! The charm of the original build mixed with the tasteful remodeling was so comfortable and homey. Everything was clean and very well stocked...I felt at home immediately. The driveway/parking can be a little intimidating but that is the trade-off I guess for the incredible view of the mountains and the town below. Wish I could've stayed longer but can't wait to plan another trip and stay at the Top of the Town again.

Stayed Dec 20, 2021The house was more than we could’ve hoped for. It was beautiful and a great price! It was 37 minutes to Winterplace and perfect for evenings together after skiing all day! The kitchen stocked with some basics and treats as well, really helped to make it the perfect stay!! Thank you!

Stayed Oct 3, 2025Christine was very good at communication. The house has a lot of 104 year charm and is in a great location high on a hill in a very interesting area of WV!

Stayed Aug 23, 2025The Top of the Town was the perfect vibe for our girl's getaway/reunion weekend. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and near the New River, we couldn't resist the views from the porch and spent most of our time relaxing and visiting on the porch. This was at 10/10 spot and we are already dreaming/planning a return trip.

Stayed Aug 15, 2025The top of the town house is gorgeous for a 100 year old home. It had everything we needed. Loved the little details of ample tissues, and towels. The kitchen had everything we needed. Pet friendly with a little yard that our puppy loved. Great rental if you are visiting the new river gorge national park.

Stayed Jun 27, 2025Home is beautiful, well-kept (especially the pretty woodwork), and the view is amazing. The bathrooms have been redone and are very nice. The kitchen was well-equipped, the best of any B&Bs we’ve stayed in in Hinton. We were there during a boiling hot week in summer and the a/c kept up fine. Would DEFINITELY stay here again.

Stayed Jul 8, 2025Enjoyed stay. Would recommend bringing your own charcoal. Charming property, can park 3 cars if needed. We used Hinton as our base to go hiking and explore the area. Lots to do. Comfortable living room. There’s a Kroger nearby for groceries. We had a slight mishap and needed the nearby hospital which turned out to be very friendly and professional.

Stayed Jun 21, 2025Home was good, central location for a 4 day exploration of this part of WV. Got some quirks, but comfortable.....One caution is that parking is extremely difficult for a full size pick up truck (F150). Backing in is only choice, and even then a huge stump is in play. Basically left F150 parked all weekend, as you can't get it out with another car in driveway ...other car was Ridgeline compact pickup.Watch your head if you are tall. Cracked head into wall over washer/dryer, entry light, and lintels in hallway to kitchen. Approx 6'5 clearance in entry way, under 6 at washer dryer.Window AC's struggled to keep house cool in 90 degrees temps. Those are annoyances, and cautions. They would not stop me from booking and enjoying this place again. But with a smaller car.Comfortable, clean, well set up, good location, and reasonable price...those Trump annoyances every time. We liked the place, and would definitely return

Stayed Dec 28, 2024House was very charming and still had so much of its original character. The beds were very comfortable and the porch was enjoyed by all. We were a group of 6 adults and the seating in the living room was not adequate. At least 1 other chair would have been nice. The location was great and close to many activities.

Stayed Oct 4, 2024A very welcoming house with a great view, nice porch; very clean, nothing to complain about - the opposite; unless you are stuck on a dishwasher, which they don't have.
