The dog friendly house enjoys mountainous views from almost every room and is available to rent all year round, allowing guests to discover the beauty of the Scottish Highlands in every season.

Biallidis split over two floor with the all but one bedroom located on the first floor. Downstairs, guests will find two large living rooms, a formal dining area with a big table, a well-equipped kitchen, a small games room and a handy boot room; there is also a downstairs double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Upstairs there are six more bedrooms, these include the Master with king-size double bed and en-suite bathroom, two standard double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, and a triple bedroom with three single beds, there are also three good sized family bathrooms.

Outside the house is a good sized garden with plenty of space for kids to run around, there is also outside seating and a BBQ.

Biallid is located on the edge of Newtonmore, a small town with a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. There are also two museums, one of which celebrates the history of Clan Macpherson, who were prominent during the Jacobite era.

Also nearby are the Cairngorm Mountains where a number of country pursuits and outdoor activities can be enjoyed. For walkers the Wildcat Trail is accessed in Newtonmore, whilst cyclists will love Laggan Wolftrax. At the local Active Outdoor Pursuits Centre a number of water sports can be experienced. Other notable activities include horse riding and fishing, with guests able to take advantage of Biallid's fishing rights on the River Calder and River Spey.

Biallid is a well-equipped house with WiFi, two freezers, a fridge, a dishwasher, an AGA, an electric hob, two washer/dryers, a TV with DVD player and a music system. It is however, its setting and the beautiful views that truly make this place stand out from the crowd.

Biallid House is a splendid place to stay. Plenty of rooms, kitchen facilities are great and the location is superb. Just a short walk to Newtonmore and a short drive to the heart of the Cairngorm National Park.

Biallid House is a great place to stay to explore the local area. There were 13 of us and we did hillwalking, cycling, museum, wildlife park and other stuff. The is exactly what we expected of a place of this age and was full of character and history. Just watch out for some low doorways! The local goats keep you entertained with their wandering across the driveway and we loved seeing hares in the garden. We really enjoyed the log fire in the evening and the AGA was great. The Wildcat Trail around the village was well used and we loved the painted cats around the village. I fabulous week in a fantastic house- we will be back.

The property is a charming place with plenty of room. The house keeper is a lovely lady and made sure we had the best stay. The only feedback I would give is the place is in despirate need of redecoration and some TLC. I would add more showers to each bathroom. Please don't expect all the latest mod-cons, but the charm of the place is amazing. Read up on Aga cooking first.

We had the most wonderful time at Biallid House - it was the perfect place to bring the family together, and the perfect location for exploring our family history in the Cairngorms. We had a fantastic time and are already planning to come back! Thanks for everything

A beautiful house situated in a gorgeous location. We stayed for an extended family holiday - ages ranging from mid 60's to toddlers. Great bedrooms with plenty of bathrooms and a lovely aga to warm the house - even in August! Plenty of space for everyone, it never felt crowded, and all the little touches made it feel like home. It was a fantastic base to explore the local area, and didn't feel too touristy (compared to Aviemore). The laundry area was very useful for a week long stay. We were very sad to leave, and if we were to return to the area, this would be our number one choice.

I consider this property is good value for money and is in a great location. The housekeeper Jean was very friendly and helpful . It was a bit disappointing on this repeat visit to see that several badly misted up double glazed windows hadn’t been replaced - these have been in this condition for several years and they rather spoil the outlook from the main windows

A large, spacious house perfect for 7 youngsters to run about in and play hide-and-seek while parents and grandparents relaxed on the comfortable sofas! The property sits in superb countryside with clear views to the Cairngorms and has a large garden area for outdoor activities. Jean, the housekeeper, is friendly and very helpful and made it clear that she was only a phone-call away for anything whatsoever. The Aga in the kitchen was not as hot as expected for cooking and took a bit of getting used to, but was a constant source of warmth nonetheless. All the adults agreed that the house would benefit from a good spring clean but, as a holiday home for a week with children running in and out and leaving toys about, the dust didn’t detract from what was an enjoyable family break.

15 friends spent a week at Biallid House in May. It proved to be one of the most popular venues we have ever stayed in on our annual trips to Scotland. The house is extremely spacious with good facilities and in many ways, quite luxurious. It's great to be able to cook and eat together with so many people and to relax together after dinner in comfortable surroundings. The location is excellent for outdoor activities and just to enjoy the local area and its wildlife. The booking and supporting admin were very helpful.
