Step into the Lamplighter Grand Loft and bask in this spacious yet intimate design - a serene and tranquil haven.

Gazing through a wall of windows offers stunning mountain and lake views, inspiring deep calm and wonder.

Retreat to the gorgeous master loft bedroom and discover a luxury spa ensuite, complete with an oversized bathtub.

Best of all, shopping, cafes, markets and nearby waterfalls are just an easy 5-10 minute walk away.

Dare we say heavenly !
>r>THE SPACE
As you enter, you'll be greeted by soaring ceilings, wood floors, and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lake. The Master bedroom boasts unique barn doors opening onto the beautiful living area below, a luxurious king bed, and a cozy electric fireplace sitting area. The Master loft also has a round pedestal table and chairs and a dream ensuite with a soaker tub and spacious waterfall shower.

The Canter room has a tranquil ambiance with a white horse mural and its own private full en-suite. The Canter room features deluxe bedding on a comfortable double sofa bed.

Relax in the living room, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and leather sectional couch, or prepare a meal in the enormous kitchen with its gas stove and 10' fir slab bar with stools. When it's time to dine, gather around the stunning live edge hand-hewn fir dinner table.

You will love the private mountain/lake view balcony with the Spaberry jacuzzi for two. Our home also features a washer/dryer and keyless code lock for your convenience.

While the railroad tracks run right in front of the suite, with trains passing by a couple of times a day, most guests find this no problem at all. The trains run fairly slow and don't usually honk on this end of town. The tracks run all along the lake, past many of the best areas close to the water and near downtown.

You are most welcome to come experience the beauty, comfort, and convenience of our beautiful Grand Loft.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Nestled in the heart of Nelson, the Lamplighter boutique guesthouse is just a short walk from fabulous coffeehouses, sidewalk cafes, amazing restaurants, and local art. You'll be able to walk to the movies, take in a play at the Capitol Theatre, or stroll through the Wednesday or Saturday summer markets. When you need a break, simply head back to your private suite and relax on the patio with its BBQ and breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. The Lamplighter is located in a quiet neighborhood, separate from any highway or downtown noise. A 15-minute walk will take you to the lakeside pathway, which stretches along the shore past the mall and through Lakeside Park to the orange bridge. The occasional trains that pass by in the mornings and late afternoons are rarely a disturbance, and reviews of the guesthouse often mention its serene and peaceful ambiance. In addition to its convenient location, the Lamplighter is also close to Cottonwood Falls and the Saturday market, as well as Gyro Park and its famous view lookout. For hikers, Elephant Mountain's Pulpit Rock lookout is also within easy reach. With everything from the hustle of the city center to business district to serene beaches and natural parks all within walking distance, the Lamplighter offers the best of both worlds.

Sorry, not suitable for children as there are floating stairs and the place is not childproof.

A mountain/lake view patio with BBQ - all in a wonderful DOWNTOWN location, easy walking distance to all downtown amenities!

Free parking is for 2 vehicles in the driveway and you have a door code for keyless entry & easy access.

The Lamplighter RAILTOWN SUITE (2 bedroom) is the suite below with its own entrance and the 2 suites may be connected and rented together (sleeps 8).

An amazing quiet location, just off the highway to Whitewater Ski Resort, the Lamplighter guesthouse is part of a 4 townhouse complex tucked in just steps from downtown Nelson and in a residential/slightly industrial area. The Lamplighter itself has 2 suites.

We stayed at the Lamplighter Grand Loft in mid May for four nights. Everything exceeded our expectations. The bread waiting for us was a nice touch. The contemporary design of the loft was tastefully done. We ended up enjoying lots of the local restaurants, but if we had decided to cook the kitchen had everything you would need.We enjoyed watching the trains come by, but did not find the noise distracting at all. During our stay we went to the Queen City Escape Room, the zip line tour and we walked to one of the disc golf courses (make sure to bring your own discs). One member of our group was the last to leave and she did not have a car. We did discover getting transportation to Castlegar to be a bit challenging. Eventually, she was able to find a taxi that could take her to the airport on a Sunday morning. We all highly recommend the Lamplighter Grand Loft and the Nelson, BC area.

This place is an absolute gem in the middle of the action in downtown Nelson. The loft is beautiful and comfortable. The hosts have thought of everything - a great kitchen, a cozy living area with a gas fire and every comfort you need, including a great two-person hot tub on the deck. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Grand Loft for three nights in September. The high ceilings, spaciousness and cozy charm of the loft made for an amazing home base for exploring Nelson. We were greeted on arrival with a fresh baked loaf of bread, balsamic and olive oil. Delicious, and a really welcoming touch. All of the delights of quaint downtown Nelson were a few blocks away, but the location of the loft made it feel like a private retreat from everything. The loft is very thoughtfully equipped and owner? Chara was extremely gracious and responsive. Truly an exceptional experience!
