Stayed Jun 28, 2025The location of this property is fantastic. We explored the nature refuge, historic Smithville, and Atlantic City. The drives to each were easy and within 25 minutes. Before checking out we walked the well maintained trails along the lake. The only issue was the bugs. (Expected during the summer - check for ticks.)The rental was clean and comfortable. Check in and communication with the host was quick and easy.

Stayed Aug 18, 2024I was pleasantly surprised by the actual swans on swan lake. I thoroughly enjoyed this location. I wish I was aware in advance of the 1:00 check in rather than 4:00. Also I would like to have known in advance where the beach chairs and bicycles were located. We spent a lot of time searching for them. By the time I received a response to my text to the property owner we had already left for the beach with only our towels to sit on. Other than that it was a very lovely place to spend a vacation. Very relaxing.

Stayed Nov 9, 2023We really enjoy bird watching and being near water, so we selected this property for its proximity to Edwin B. Forsythe Wildlife Refuge, which is only 15 minutes from this property, as well as its lakeside location. The birding activity from the back deck was also an added bonus. We were lucky enough to see an osprey and a bald eagle, along with several different waterfowl and songbirds. We would definitely consider revisiting this property.
